CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Everything went back to normal, for us anyway. Xander is his usual self again: hot-headed, jerk-face and sex-crazed. We put the Victoria issue on the back of our minds.
Nasa mall ako ngayon, katatapos ko lang ng QC project so I decided na mag-absent muna. Kasama ko si Celine mag-shopping, since yung isa naming bitch bestfriend nagbabakasyon kasama ang boyfriend nya.
“Bagay sayo yan!!” sabi ni Celine sakin.
“Really? Don’t you think it’s a bit too revealing?” tanong ko.
I was trying on an LBD, figure-hugging and the cuts are all at the right place.
“Nah! DyDy meron ka namang ipapakita so kebs lang” sagot niya sakin.
“Kay fine!” tas bumalik na ko sa fitting room para magpalit.
“Nga pala, CeCe I was meaning to ask you something”
“What is it DyDy?”
“Do you know Victoria Prinsloo?” sabi ko sabay labas ng fitting room.
“Yeah, I worked with her once, sa Vitro. Why?” naghahanap pa siya ng damit.
“Apparently, siya lang naman ang nang-iwan sa altar sa magling kong asawa” sagot ko.
“Whaaaaat??” shocked na sabi ni Celine.
Pinagtinginan tuloy kami. Siniko ko nga. Nasa cashier na kami to pay.
“So any deets about her?” tanong ko.
“She’s a bitch” sabi nya.
“That I know already. What else?” tapos kinuha ko yung pinamili ko.
Lumabas na kami ng store. Niyaya ko muna siya ice cream store. Syempre libre ko.
“So ano nga, deets CeCe” sabay subo ko ng hazelnut-flavored ice cream ko.
“Besides from being a total bitch. Okay naman siyang designer. Mabenta yung designs nya. Yun nga lang overachiever. Minsan epal na” sabay subo nya din ng pistachio-flavored ice cream.
“Obviously. Di siya masatisfy sa kung anong meron siya eh”
“Well yun pa lang naman ang alam ko. Want me to find out more?” sabay ngiti nya sakin.
“Can you?” with matching puppy dog eyes.
“It’s a done deal DyDy. But you should also ask LouLou when she gets back, since parehas sila ng profession. Tara I found some cutsie shoes, I wanna buy it na!” tas tumawa kaming dalawa.
Iniwan ako ni Celine after lunch dahil may photoshoot na daw siya, since tinatamad pa ko umuwi, nag-window shopping na lang ako.
Napadaan ako sa isang bilihan ng suits and bigla ko naisip si Xander.
Hmmm... This would look good on him.
Naisipan kong tawagan siya.
“Hey” greet ko nung sinagot na nya.
“Oh Babe, musta shopping?”sabi nya sakin.
“Fine. Mag-isa na lang ako, iniwan ako ni Celine” balita ko sa kanya.
