CHAPTER FORTY-TWO
We dedicated our next two days to work here in Palawan. Siniguro namin na okay na lahat bago kami mag-vacation mode ni Xander.
Nadeliver naman ng maayos yung furnitures and I’m glad that Mr. Guevarra liked everything.
Three days na lang pala magbi-birthday na ko. Wow, I’m turning a year older.
Kasabay ng birthday ko yung wedding anniversary namin ni Xander.
Four years. We’ll be married for four years now. Who would’ve thought I’d love it??
Nasa sala kami. Nakahiga ako sa lap ni Xander habang nanunuod kaming TV.
“Xander anong gift mo sa birthday ko? Tandaan mo Anniversary din natin yun” I absentmindedly said.
“Ano bang gusto mo?” tanong nya sakin.
“Ikaw” sagot ko sa kanya.
“You already have me” he smiled.
“I’ll always want you, you know”
“And you think I wouldn’t??”
I grabbed his head to kiss him because of his smart comment.
“Tara lakad tayo sa beach” yaya nya sakin bigla.
Edi tumayo ako’t pinatay nya yung TV. Then hand in hand we went out to the beach sa likod ng bahay.
We were just walking silently. I love the tranquility of just being beside him. Nakakarelax.
The fact that we were leaving footprints on the sand together made me sentimental for a bit.
“Ang ganda nung buwan” sabi nya bigla.
I looked up seeing it’s a full moon.
“Yeah, it’s so perfect” sabi ko.
Umupo siya bigla sa sands then he dragged me down. Napaupo ako sa harap nya facing the sea, habang naka-backhug siya sakin.
Ang sarap sa pakiramdam nito. Napakapayapa.
“Andy”
“Hmmm?”
“Will you marry me again?” tanong nya bigla sakin.
“Aren’t we married already?”
“I mean this time, dito sa Pilipinas. Kasama yung mga taong mahahalaga satin” sabi nya.
“That would be nice Xander. I’d like that” napangiti ako sa sinabi nya.
He turned my head so that we’d see each other eye to eye.
“So will you marry me again? Be my wife all over again? Will you spend the rest of your days laughing with me, crying with me, getting mad with me, fighting with me, being frustrated with me, making mistakes with me and waking up with me beside you?”
Tumulo lang luha ko sa proposal nya sakin. That would be everything that I can ever hope for and more.
May kinuha siya sa bulsa nya. It was our wedding ring in Vegas.
“Andre Claire Roxas, will you marry me?” tanong nya sakin showing me the ring.
Napatakip ako sa bibig ko sa sobrang tuwa sa sinabi nya.
