CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

Days with Xander couldn’t be any better.

I’m at my happiest when I’m with him.

He never fails to make me happy and tell me how much he loves me.

Bawat minutong maaalala nya, kahit nasan pa siya sasabihan nya ko ng ‘I love you’.

Nakakatuwa lang na para kaming teenager na dalawa.

Of course there’s still the constant fighting. I mean, hindi naman mawawala yun. Pero the make-up sex is always the best.

Oh don’t get me started with the sex. Sobrang kakaiba na ngayon whenever we make love to each other.

I can’t contain my happiness, I’d wish it would never end.

I can finally say that I am inlove and happily married to an imperfectly perfect man. Xander is my answered prayer, thank God he came into my life.

Tomorrow is the day that I’ve  been dreading.

Bukas na yung wedding anniversary ng mga magulang ko. And I don’t know what to expect.

Nakakainis pa na hindi kami sabay pupunta ni Xander dahil may meeting daw siya.

Leche, yung meeting na yun yung para kay Aries tapos pinasa nanaman nya kay Xander. Bwisit yun ah.

We’re on our way to Kabe’s house to pick up our clothes.

Dun kasi dinala ni Louise eh. No, they’re not living together but it’s like they are.

Naayos na nila ang dapat ayusin at ayun masaya naman yung dalawa.

Pupunta din dun si Celine and Cameron. Yes, crazy as it seems inlove na din sila sa isa’t isa.

Weird that our friends ended up together as well.

“A penny for your thoughts my wife?” sabi nya, lightly squeezing my hand that he was holding.

Natuto na si Xander mag-drive gamit yung kaliwang kamay lang. Ayaw nya kasing binibitawan ang kamay ko pag nagda-drive siya. It helps him relax daw.

Such a sweet husband.

“I was just dreading tomorrow. I mean come on, bakit ba kasi andami nilang ek-ek in life diba??

“Well we can always NOT go” sabi nya with a playful smirk.

“Yeah, pero sayang yung gown and tux. For sure maguuramentado si LouLou”

“Nakakainis din kasi yung meeting na yan eh” sabi nya.

“Oo nga. Damn! Buti na lang after tomorrow we’ll be leaving for Palawan. That I’m looking forward to” sabi ko sa kanya.

I saw him smile.

“Me too. I’ve arranged for us to be there for ten days” sabi nya.

“Xander diba dapat three days lang?”

“I’m the boss Mrs. Lopez. Besides we need it”

I rolled my eyes at him. Hindi talaga siya nawawalan ng surpresa.

He kissed my hand na hawak nya.

Pagdating namin sa bahay ni Kabe, nakarinig kami ng sigawan sa sala.

“Cameron I told you for the nth time, he’s just a friend!” Celine shrieked.

“Yeah and I have lots of girls that are just friends, how would that make you feel?” sabay crossarms ni Cameron at upo sa sofa.

Natawa kaming dalawa ni Xander. Really?? Parang bata lang si Cameron.

“Uggghhh!!! You are so frustrating! Bahala ka nga!!” tas nag-walkout si Celine.

Nakita nya kaming dalawa.

“Can you not be all lovebirds in front of me. At pwede ba kausapin mo yang kaibigan mo Alex!” then pumunta siya sa garden ni Kabe.

“I’ll go to talk to her” sabay bitaw ko sa kamay ni Xander.

Sinundan ko si Celine sa garden. Nasan kaya yun si Louise at Kabe?

“Ano bang nangyare CeCe?” tabi ko sa kanya sa swing.

“He’s the most frustrating guy ever!!” tapos kwinento nya sakin na nakabunggo nila sa mall bago pumunta dito si Drew, yung kaibigan namin nung college.

Nakakatawa yung itsura ni Celine at yung reaksyon ni Cameron.

I began to wonder kung ganito ba ko noon kay Victoria. I think I’m worse though.

“CeCe lambing lang ang katapat nyan. Ganyan talaga ang mga lalake. Oh God, Xander is worse!” I said dramatically.

Natawa naman siya.

“Ang hirap pala maging comitted noh? I mean honestly, this is my first time kaya hindi ko alam kung pano i-handle” she exhaled.

“Hey, Cam’s worth it. Ano ka ba, there’s always a first time for everything” I hugged her.

“I’m so happy na you can give advices na! Especially since Lou is busy with Kabe, sex and all” biro nya.

Nagtawanan lang kaming dalawa.

Nagkabati na yung dalawa by dinner time, then nagkwentuhan at nag-asaran lang kaming magkakabarkada. It feels so nice to spend the day with people who matter.

Ang ganda nung gown na ginawa sakin ni Louise.

I would’ve been happy to wear it if not for the fact na sa event ng mga magulang ko yun isusuot.

Pag-uwi namin, my dread worsen.

Habang nakahiga ako, I can’t help but feel really scared for tomorrow.

“Andy, talk to me. What’s going on in that pretty head of yours?” sabay tabi sakin ni Xander.

“I’m just really scared for tomorrow. I don’t know, I’m dreading it”

“Look male-late lang ako, but I’ll be there. Plus andun sina Louise at Celine, pati Kabe and Cam. You won’t be as alone as you think you are” sabay sandal nung ulo ko sa dibdib nya at yakap sakin.

“Bilisan mo bukas hah” sabi ko.

“Yes Mam” tapos hinalikan nya yung ulo ko.

But no matter how hard I try, di ako makatulog. Pumaimbabaw ako sa kanya.

“Distract me Xander. I can’t really sleep” I smiled mischievously.

“Now that is something I’m good at” then he grabbed me and kissed me.

Now that is what I call a distraction.
