"Yo, so y'all just gone sit here and act like she ain't cheating," Nia said with a serious look on her face.
And here I was, for the millionth time, dying of laughter at the kitchen table. Adrian rolled her eyes and laid her head on my shoulder.
"I'm not cheating Nia I can do that."
"No you can'ttttttt.
"Yes I cannnnnn."
"Says who?"
"Says me perra, the hell."
Nia looked at her intently and looked at me as if I can make the situation better. She dropped her head on the table looking back at Adri.
"You playing me as if I'm blind."
"How?"
"Bruh, I dropped four plus twos on yo ass and you throw down a draw four. You can't do that bruh."
"Man yes I can."
"Bro. Dakota, Mila, baby, please tell Adriana she cannot do that."
I laughed and laid my head on top of Adrian's. "Why don't you just read the game rules."
"I'm not even playing," Dakota laughed from the couch, "this is all on y'all."
"Man, fine. I'll do it." Nia grabbed the box getting the instructions out of the inside.
"You so extra." Adri laughed.
"Hell no, I'm finna win and yo cheating ass ain't finna stop me."
"Whatever, come on so I can prove ya slow ass right."
Nia cleared her throat, sitting up straight reading from the card. "Next player will then have to draw the sum of all plus cards played, unless he also has a draw 2 or draw 4 card to pass the obligation to draw to next player. One can't play a draw 2 above a draw 4 and conversely. If a player plays a draw two card after having drawn, then the next player will only have to draw two cards."
Adrian sat up and looked at her for a moment. "So, whatchu tryna say?"
Nia picked up the draw four Adrian had put down about thirty minutes ago and drew the eight cards Adrian needed and leaned back in her chair.
"Uno, uno out." I looked at my hand of twelve cards and threw them in.
"Well that didn't go my way."
"Aye, be lucky. If Maya was here, her ass would've been flipped the table over."
Adri stood up and walked over to her charging phone. "Speaking of, where is she? She should've been here by now."
"True. Let me call her."
I sat on the couch laying on Dakota's shoulder biting it causing him to jump.
"I'm not that tasty I promise." He said making me laugh.
"You taste like garbage."
"You smell like poverty."
"And you look like oppression." Everybody except Nia and Dakota laughed moving into the living room with us.
"Damn Kota she gotcha ass," Adri said sitting on his lap.
"Man that's coo, she gone need a chauffeur one of these days."
I frowned. "That's not even funny."
"Yea knew that'd get ya spoiled ass." I stuck my tongue out and he flipped me off.
"Guys Maya ain't answering her phone," Nia said pacing the floor with her phone in her hand. Ryan went up to her and held Nia's face.
