"Ready?" My mom asked us.

"Ready." I grabbed my book bag and helped her stand up as we walked towards the terminal.

I was nervous but I did everything Mateo wanted from me. I canceled out on the condo in Jersey and I got a refund for the down payments.

"I'm so excited. I haven't been on a plane in a long time."

I shrugged. "It's okay to me. Not my favorite thing but it's cool."

Dinah laughed and leaned on my shoulder. "She's scared Ms. Garcia, don't let her fool you."

"Fuck you," I whispered, pushing her head from my shoulder.

Mom slapped the back of my head as I winced in pain. "I heard that. Stop it you two."

I sighed as we walked up the ramp leading to the plane. We walked in and found the seats that matched our tickets and sat down.

Mom was on my left by the window leaving Dinah on my right. I sat back in my seat getting comfortable while putting my phone on airplane mode.

I grabbed my mom's hand and she smiled kissing my forehead. "We're going home baby."

ATL, here we come.

Jamila's P.O.V.

"Oh my gosh, you're so dramatic." I laughed.

"Nah you just ain't seeing the bigger picture."

"Jalen, we are not dressing up as superheroes for the next project. And if we did, it most definitely wouldn't be Batman and Alfred."

He laughed, putting his camera in its case. "I think you'd look great in a tuxedo and mustache."

I flipped him off and grabbed my book bag from the table. Class had finally ended and we were on our way home.

We kept talking as we exited the class, figuring out what we'd do for our next assignment.

"I got it."

"What?"

"Sharkboy and Lavagirl!"

"Hell no. I'm not wearing a pink wig. Unacceptable."

"Come on. It's only one shoot, I think we'd look great."

"You also said we'd look great as Dora and Boots."

He shrugged. "I can get you the outfit."

I laughed and continued walking out the side door of the building.

"No way, I'll find a cosplay myself. You tripping hard Jalen."

He laughed, shaking his head as we approached the parking lot. Since Adri goes to my home to tend to the crippled as soon as school lets out, me and Jalen created a little tradition.

The tradition consists of us going to get ice cream sundaes after a photoshoot and we'd trade turns paying.

We continued to discuss our ideas for the next assignment as we got in his car and drove to the nearby parlor. Once we arrived and parked, he came and opened my door for me then we both went inside, ordering our usual.

"You know, this place is starting to grow on me."

I laughed as we sat in our normal booth in the back of the building. "Yeah, I love it too. It's quiet but vibrant and social."

"I guess opposites do attract." He smiled before eating some of his caramel sundaes.

"Ew, I still can't believe you eat caramel."
