Jamila's P.O.V.
"Why do I look like I'm taking a yearbook picture."
He laughed holding his camera rolling his sleeves up on his shirt.
"Well, at least your beautiful in and out of light." I blushed, grabbing his camera.
"Nice try Jalen, now get your butt over there so I can take this photo."
"Fine."
He changed the drop and pulled up a chair and desk sitting behind it. He struck a pose that was nothing like our assignment.
"Jalen, smile."
"Why?"
"That's what our assignment is. Smiling headshot."
"Or is it?" He sat back smiling.
"Enlighten me." I sat down on one of the tables looking at him intently.
"Smiling doesn't come from an action or gesture. Nothing does. Smiling is when you feel a sense of happiness about your current situation."
"So what's your current situation?"
He leaned forward looking me up and down making it hard for me to breathe.
"I'm in a room. Alone. With a beautiful woman who makes me feel confident every time I'm around her."
"Hmph."
"So that my dear partner, is why I have this look on my face. I'm admiring your beauty from afar."
"Well then. Give me your best face."
He posed and I took the picture easily watching it as it processed through the camera.
"Lemme see."
I walked over to him showing him the camera.
"Now that's hot." He said rubbing his goatee.
"Yeah," I mumbled. He stared at me and I laughed awkwardly. "Let's um, head back since we're done."
