Maya's P.O.V.

I fixed my hat and sprayed some Polo cologne on me looking at myself in the mirror.
"You not lit moe."
I flipped Nia off in the mirror and grabbed my book bag and phone off the bed.
"Ya girl seems to think otherwise." She sucked her teeth and I cracked up.
"Fuck you bro."
"Nah, I'm all jokes. I'm just ready to see about these classes we got."
"Right. But yo, did you hear about that fight that broke out at the mall last night?"
"Nah. Who fought?"
"Guess."
"Any of the homies?"
"Nah. One of the girls."
"Mila?"
"Mm. Glad to see she's on ya mind, but no. Adriana got at Kayla and Kayla got her shit boxed."
"Word?"
"Yeah. Kayla said something bout Tío and Adriana went in."
I shook my head thinking about all the different ways I could really pain Kayla fa what she did. Now she wanna mess with my best friend? Nah. Not finna let that happen.
"Why you look upset?"
"Cause. Kayla really trying to get to me bro. Like no lie, imma end up rocking her shit."
"Remember what auntie said man fuck Kayla."
I saw a shoe fly through the door and smack Nia in the chest making me laugh and look in the direction the shoe was thrown.
"Watch ya mouth!" Tía exclaimed as she walked back to her room.
"Sorry auntie," Nia mumbled holding her chest.
I shook my head and walked out of the room to the living room. I grabbed my keys off the key holder as I left out the house. Unlocking my car, I slid in the driver's seat and hooked my phone up to the aux blasting some Gucci.
I sat in the driveway for a minute until I realized Nia's dirty ass had me blocked in the driveway. I honked my horn and she came walking out soon after mugging me.
She got in her car and we pulled out the driveway speeding to school. It needs to be a chill day cause I ain't tryna go through no drama.

I fixed my jacket and walked out of the door as Adriana pulled up in the driveway. I opened up the passenger door sliding into the seat smiling.
"Buenos dias." She said laughing.
"Good morning Adri."
"Why so happy?"
"I don't know. I've been smiling ever since I left the house."
She pulled off and sped down the road. "Well, I guess you're just excited to see all the beautiful people."
"Mm not as much. I'm just here to finish up school so that I can graduate."
"I feel you girl cause I swear, school isn't as easy as I thought it'd be. Especially junior year."
"Truthfully. But all we can do is pray senior year will be easy."
"Easy for you to say ms honor student."
