Ashlynn's POV

I woke up with 5 missed calls from a random number.

I tried to figure out who it was, but I couldn't recognize it.

So I called them back.

"Hello?"

the deep voice said.

"Umm hi... who is this..?" I asked.

"Oh ashlynn I'm so glad you called we need to talk."

I instantly recognized the voice.

Shawn mendes.

"Oh ok wanna meet me somewhere?"

I liked shawn. he was really sweet.

"How about the zoo... I know it sounds babyish but hey just got new penguins..."

"Aha alright sounds like a plan. Can you pick me up at 2:00?"

I said and I was smiling really big I probably looked like an idiot.

"Perfect, ok see ya then. bye." he hung up and I walked inside.

"I made you coffee." I looked up an saw that Matt was holding out my tigger coffee cup from Disneyland.

"Aw thank you. your so sweet." I said taking the cup from his hands.

I went up to my room and saw Cameron was still asleep.

I grabbed my clothes, makeup, and hair stuff and ran into the bathroom across he hall.

I got ready an was done by 1:30.

"Why are you so fancy...." Nash said coming into the bathroom and leaning against the door frame.

"I'm going to see penguins." I said putting on my Justin Bieber perfume.

He laughed and wrapped his arms around my waist from behind me.

"With who?" he asked

"Shawn. he said he wanted to talk to me."

"Oh alright." he smiled and kissed the top of my head.

I was wearing a bright floral romper, with black strapped sandals, and a curled high ponytail.

My door opened and Cameron walked out.

He looked like he had been sleeping for ages.

Dried drool on his cheek, the imprints of his hand on his face, messy hair, and bloodshot eyes.

"Well hello sleeper." I said and he smiled.

Then looked in the mirror.

He scowled and tried I fix his hair with his hands.

"Why do I look so ratchet?!" He said putting the püma face on.

I laughed and walked into my room.

I grabbed a brown one shoulder bag, and my aviators.

I looked outside and saw Shawn's car.

I said bye to Nash and cam and walked outside.

I got in and he smiled.

"Hey." he said and I shut my door.

We drove to the zoo talking about the most random things, getting to know each other better.

When we arrived we went to the ticket booth and entered the zoo.

"So about.... our dad..." shawn said putting his hands in his coat pockets.

"Well he's your step dad..." I said looking at the elephants as we passed them.

"Not exactly....your mom is actually my mom...." shawn said and I looked up at him.

"Wha-" he cut me off

"Your mom is my mom." Shawn repeated.

"But we are the same age..." I said and he smiled.

"Ashlynn... haha we are twins." he said as he had a big cheeky grin on his face.

"Our parents split and our dad took me, and mom took you."

I laughed and embraced him in a hug.

We walked past the polar bears.

He then spotted the penguin sign.

He started to freak out and he grabbed my arm and tugged me into the exhibit.

While he was enjoying the penguins I kept on thinking about my mom and playing with my promise ring.

We walked out of the exhibit and went towards a restraint.

We sat down at a table and ordered our drinks.

"So what was she like...?" he asked pouring an extra packet of sugar in his lemonade.

I laughed when he opened another packet if sugar.

"Who?" I asked putting a straw in my Dr. Pepper.

"Mom" he answered sipping out of his straw.

"She was blonde, sweet, helpful... idk like the average mom." I said sitting back in my chair.

We ordered our food and started to eat.

"Shawn!? shawn mendes?!" I heard a scream from behind him.

Shawn turned around to see a two teen fans freaking out.

He smiled

"Can we get a picture?!" they ran to your table and shawn stood up.

"Yeah of course" shawn went behind the two girls while she handed me her phone.

I took a couple pictures and gave her back her phone.

"What was that all about?" I asked as he grabbed his tray.

"Vine.. that's how Nash and I know each other."

We threw away our food and left.
