Chapter 4: The Time is Now

Omniscient POV

The manager pulled them aside.

" You've seen her, its your decision now, it's up to you guys if you want her." The guys turned to look at the little pixie girl. She stared back, she had blood on her face and bruises on her face, arms and legs yet the look she gave them was like the look of a protector; a look of determination.

They turned back towards one another, contemplating. "Should we let her?" asked Suho. "She has the passion, I think she can do it." said Sehun. " I don't think this is such a good idea." said Luhan. " I agree with Luhan Hyung." said both Lay and Chen. " We shouldn't let her." "I don't know." chimed in Kris, "She's done so much already, I think we should give her a chance, see how things work out and then decide if this should be permanent or not." " araesso, lets all have a vote." said Chanyeol. " those who want to give her a chance raise your hand." Chanyeol, Kai, Sehun, Kris, Tao, Suho, Baekhyun, and D.O raised their hands. " okay" said Suho. "We'll give her a chance but if something happens where she can't handle it, she's out alright." " nee" they replied.

JIN'S POV

I saw them as they started walking back. "jebal, jebal, jebal." I thought. I stopped breathing as they stopped I front of me. I looked at the manager and waited. He looked at me and I gulped.... "araesso, you have been approved of." and that's all I heard that came out of his lips. I started to breathe again and kept a straight face. "yes so welcome Jin..." he said.

I bowed at him at 90 degrees and smiled at him as I came up from my bow. The manager was startled and cleared his throat. "Well then" he turned to Headmaster. " In a couple of days we'll be back to take her with us! does that sound good?." he asked. " nee, that sounds like a good idea." Bae responded. " alright well then we'll be going now."

yelled out to them " Hyungs, I promise to protect you and take care of you and I promise I won't screw up! I'll show you my true character and I hope you take care of me!" I raised my hand in a fist. I saw them give me smiles and looks of amusement. "Araesso, we're glad to have you as a part of our team and look forward to having you!" yelled Chanyeol with his goofy smile. I saw them walk out the doors and then I let myself get consumed by the darkness as I blacked out.

The Next Day still JIN'S POV

I woke up and I had pain running over my body. I touched my head and felt bandages wrapped around it and I saw my surroundings. I was in the school's infirmary. " Hyung, thank god, you're awake, hey guys Jin Hyung is awake." said Shin. Dae-Hyun and Chung-Ho peeked their heads in the room and then walked in. They sat on either side of my bed. " what time is it?" I asked. "Its 7 am, you passed out after EXO left." replied Chung-Ho. " oh, right." I said. I breathed in deeply and winced at the pain that hit my chest. Dae-Hyun looked at me with concern. "Are you alright Hyung? Do you need anything?" "Aniyo" I said. I'm fine and I smiled at him trying to not make him worry but I knew he wasn't buying it. Those three were the closest I had to a family; I've always thought of them as my brothers.

"Hyung, if you're in pain you need to tell us don't sugar coat it." he said. I gave him a sad smile " okay" I said. "My chest is in pain right now could you get Sooyoung Noona?" I asked. "I'll go get her right now." He said. He left me alone with both Shin and Chung-Ho and a silence accumulated until Shin started talking which wasn't really that long. "hyuuuung" he began.

"Whae?" I asked. He gave me a sad look. " sorry for hitting you and getting you all beat up." " its alright" I said. "I wouldn't have expected anything less from the three of you, if you hadn't I wouldn't have felt like really won."

Shin had tears in his eyes as he sniffled. "shin please stop, I'm really okay. I'm really impressed by your kendo skills those extra hours are really paying off." I said. he smiled, "you really think so? I've been trying my hardest to improve." he said. He climbed into her bed and just laid down beside her. She was used to his affection. I looked at Chung-Ho who was silent the entire time. He was never much of a person that would talk. He looked at me and gave a small smile and i smiled back. Then in came the school nurse Sooyoung who was more like a doctor and always in high demand and behind her followed Dae-Hyun. "I heard you're in pain." she said. " nee" I answered. My vision is kinda blurred and I have chest pains."

"Okay, let's have a look." She grabbed a flashlight and aimed at my eyes and did the kind of things doctors usually did. When she ended she said " you have slight head trauma and bruising. Nothing you haven't experienced already though. just take it easy alright and try not to walk and drink plenty of water. Your body needs time to heal is all." she said and then turned to my brothers. She gave them a look and frowned. " what have I always told you?! you go and beat up your sister, she's not made of steel you know! I thought that a brothers duty was to protect his sister not beat her up!?"

They looked down like scolded puppies. " now I expect you to help her while she's in this state or so help me i'll run down to your dorm and punish you myself!" She hit them in the back of the heads and then left. I stifled my laughter. I lifted myself off the bed when all three leapt up to help me. Shin carried me bridal style while Dae-Hyun and Chung-Ho stayed close by his side. As I was carried down the hallway, everyone looked at me and congratulated me. The news had spread pretty fast. Now all I had to do was wait.
