Chapter Two

Jin Ae's POV

Finally! School's over, I don't I think I can stay any longer in this school, I can't wait to graduate and go to art school. Why art school you ask? Well I like to draw, a lot and that is one of my hobbies. I want my drawing skills to be good and learn more so I decided to go to art high school. My mom was against it at first but I convinced her, so she doesn't really have a choice about it now.

My best friend and I decided to take the bus home since our parents can't pick us up. They are at the café busy as usual

I opened the window and felt the cool air hit my face. I looked over to my side where Jae Eun was sitting. She was there with her head hanging low, yup! She's asleep. This girl sleeps anywhere whenever she has a chance. I feel bad leaving my best friend behind to go to another school. I am only 3 months older than her and she's like a sister to me. They always thought we were twins. When I first met her she was just so fragile and quiet like she's keeping some burden on her.

FLASH BACK

" Jin ae-ah hurry we have to go, we're meeting my best friend and her daughter and son, I'm sure you'll get along" my mom said. "Ne eomma, im coming!" As we arrived at the destination, my mom shouted someone's name. "Hey! Ji Yeon- ah!" "Annyeong chingu!, how are you" the woman in her 40s said while they hugged each other. "Im good. Oh and this is Jin Ae my daughter" my mom introduced me to her.

"Hi Jin Ae, I'm Ji Yeon and this is my daughter Jae Eun and this is Jinyoung her older brother, nice to meet you" she shook her hand for a hand shake and I gladly took it, Jinyoung  did the same. Jinyoung nudge Jae Eun to shake hands with me. She shyly reached her hand and I accepted it. "Let's go inside?" Ji Yeon ahjummuni asked and we all headed inside.

My mom and her mom were talking about some kind of business and I fixated my gaze on Jae Eun who's staring at the window blankly. I wanted to ask her if shes okay but I hesitated

since I could see Jae Eun's boredom I asked my mom if we could play outside. She agreed and warned us not to go far since its dangerous. Jinyoung stayed inside while happily eating a cake.

When I had the chance I finally asked her "Jae Eun, are you okay?" Jae Eun just nodded at my question. Well this is awkward, so we just sat on the pavement outside the meeting place and stayed quiet.

The meeting finished and we finally went home. "Jin Ae, come here for a sec" mom called "what is it?" I asked. "Are you okay with your new school?" She asked "yeah I'm okay with it, ill be fine don't worry" I assured her. "Sorry for moving away from your friends and old school, because of eomma's business here." She told me, I could hear my mom's sadness in her voice. "I know for a 9 year-old kid its not easy," she continued. "Im okay mom, really, promise" she hugged me and I went to my room.

-next day-

First day of school for me. I got ready and went downstairs to eat breakfast, mom drove me to school.

We went straight to the school's office for my school paper works, after that mom left to take care of the business she's planning with Jae Eun's mom.

As I was walking my way to class I heard some laughter in the end of the hallway. I took my turn and saw someone sitting on the floor, can't really see her face since her hair is on the way. And there were girls standing in front of her. *these bullies I swear to god* I walked faster and as I got closer I shouted "HEY! Leave her alone!" the girl on the floor didn't bother to look up. She still has her head down.

Jae Eun's POV

I was making my way to class and bumped into one of the girl in the hallway. "Sorry" I said as I kept walking. The girl just scoffed and tripped me, I fell down to the floor along with my binder that I was holding. They laughed as I fell on the floor, I was going to reach for my binder when she kicked it further from me, I didn't have the urge to fight her, I was scared. Yes scared. "Watch where you're going next time okay?" I put my head down while nodding.

I heard footsteps coming our way, but I didn't looked up. "HEY! Leave her alone!" Someone shouted. As she was near us, she helped me stand up and was shock that it turned out be me. "And who are you?" The girl questioned.

Jin Ae look at the girl "Im her best friend, and why are you bullying her?" I widened my eyes at the statement she just made. "Well, listen hear you freak, tell your best friend to watch where she's going." She rolled her eyes and left us.

"Thank you." I simply said to her. She smiled "no problem, next time don't let them do this to you."

-FLASH BACK ENDS-

I still get furious whenever I think about it. She's so weak and I hated it, but at least now she knows how to fight back and I can never shut her up. It was nice seeing her change for good, I did that, I taught her how to fight. Others sees it as a bad influence, even her mom was happy to see her change. She's not the girl you'll see with her head down anymore, she's not scared and she could stand up for herself. She could be pretty annoying sometimes but its okay.

JAE EUN'S POV

I felt Jin Ae poked my shoulder as we were almost at our moms café.

We got off the bus and walked inside the cafe, there were only few people at the store. "Oh, Jae Eun, Jin Ae have you guys eaten yet?" "No we're pretty hungry" she smiled, and I just rolled my eyes. What a fat ass.

We sat on an empty table waiting for our food. Hyun-ok eomma brought the food to us. "Jae Eun, where' s your brother? Your mom was asking" she suddenly asked. "Dunno, haven't seen him yet, maybe he's with his friends on the way here." I smiled at her.

Later that time Oppa came to the store alone and ate with us. "Oppa where have you been, eomma's been looking for you." I asked my older brother. "Ahh, just somewhere." He continued eating. "You spent your  allowance on the internet café again didn't you?" I stated, I could see his shock face and thought of having a little fun. I smirked

"Eomma!!! Ayrfbhjvn...." Jinyoung oppa put his hand over my mouth to stop me from telling mom. I could see Jin Ae just laughing at us. "YAAA! Don't even think about it!" He said in a whisper shout.

I licked the palm of his hand, his face was disgusted as he tried to wiped it on me. "MERONNGG!" Even though his 2 years older than me, he still can be such a baby sometimes.
