Hydrangeas have many meanings.
But the colors can help you decipher their meanings.
What does white mean?
What does blue mean?
Thankfully, white lilies are easier to figure out. They are pure, innocent. But can be a symbol of sympathy. An indirect apology. You're taken out of your realization when you hear a girlish squeal behind you.
Turning, you see a young girl run towards you excitedly. She hugged you tightly, taking you off guard. Her hug quickly ends and she looks up to you with sparkling grey eyes. And she quickly shot out childish questions in rapid fire successions, not giving you time to react between each one.
"Can you really do magic? Is it fun? Why are your clothes dirty? What's your favorite food? Can you make bread dough rise with magic? Will the bread taste better? Are you gonna marry my big brother? Do you like sweets? Where do you live? Are there fairies? Can you turn me into a frog? Do you-"
"Misandra!" She's stopped by a woman who was descending the palace steps. Your head was still spinning from so many questions. Or maybe its the fault of the mysterious fever.
"Mom! Mom! The pretty witch lady came with big brother!" The girl said, running up to her mother.
The queen? Looking at her, she's beautiful. What on earth would she need the tea for? Her skin is clear and wrinkle free, her hair is long and shiny, her figure is about as hourglass as you can get.
She smiles at you as she approaches, embrassing you in a hug.
Surprised, you hug back.
"He seemed so excited in his letter, so I'm glad you decided to come with him." Releasing you from her grasp, meeting your eyes.
"Ah, yeah, well" You weren't exactly sure how to respond, as it wasn't really your choice.
Her smile faulters, but only slightly.
"You didn't decide, did you?"
You look down, feeling a bit guilty. She sighs.
"He's always been a bit.. Forceful.. He's never been very good at making friends."
You go to question her, but you hear rapid steps coming down the stairs.
"Grimm, how is her condi-" He stops when he sees you. His eyes widen.
He walks up to you and places his hand on your forehead, checking for a fever.
His expression relaxed, not feeling any high temperatures. "A sudden fever is very strange, even if its already gone, it may not be safe for her to walk around unattended, in case it happens again."
One of the medics says, staying back near the girls. The Prince agrees, and they decide to submit you into royal medic watch, having a Medic always at your side until they're sure it won't happen again. You hear Misandra as you're walked inside."Couldn't it just be a magic-y thing?" She asks her mother, who shushes her.
The Prince locks arms with you in an attempt to keep you upright in case the mysterious fever hits again. You saw it as a bit too paranoid, since you felt fine now, and felt just fine before you fell asleep.
They lead you into the main hall.
The high ceiling made every footstep echo through your ears. You noticed that on the other side of the hall, was the guard with the scar, who was talking with a few other iron clad men.
You were somewhat excited about the prospect of talking to the man, but before you could pass him, you were taken down a different hall.
The Prince began talking to the Medic about your stay here.
"I decided to have her stay in the east wing so she would have plenty of living space, and be close to the royal garden."
Garden?
"And closer to you." His sister teased. he glared back at her, earning him nothing but a smug grin from the little girl.
You couldn't help but smile. She reminded you a bit of Domi and how he teases his brothers.
But your smile doesn't last, and your expression turns downcast. You wonder if they're alright. Is Inui crying to Lynn? Is Domi wrecking the house in a fit frustration? Is Porri doing his breathing exercises? Is Cherri making himself sick with worry? You think about your grandparents, and if your grandfather is taking his meds on time, if your grandmother is eating properly. You hope Lynn is handling it well, and that she'd take care of the boys in your place. And then your mind wanders to Carol, was she drinking the tea that you had brought to her? You hoped that her and Porri were together, helping each other with their anxiety. Was Mei with Sei? You worried for her, and hoped that she wouldn't slip back into her addiction during you absence.Coming back to the Present, you straighten back up and tears that you hadn't noticed welling up, were quickly soaked up by the sleeve of your sweater. Well, Domi's sweater.
Your suddenly pulled back as the group stops at a doorway.
"This is your room (Y/N)." The Prince says with an excited smile. Looking at the doorway, you were a bit intimidated. A large pair of double doors adorned with silver detailing and Doorknockers.
The Prince let go of you and Pushed the doors open in a rather dramatic fashion, stepping aside and motioning for you to enter. You smile warily at him as you walk in, immediately struck by how large the room was.
Your luggage was already there in the center of the room. despite that, you were overwhelmed by a cold and empty feeling."Ace sweetly, we should let her unpack and get comfortable in her new space." The queen says, ushering her son out of the room.
"But-" he began to protest, but the medical man stopped him and reassured the Prince that he would stay by your side and assure your health.
Though the Prince obviously didn't want to leave your side, he begrudgingly did as his mother asked, leaving you with the medic.
