"(Y/N)?" The Prince raises his concerned voice at your strange reaction. His eyes had changed to an emotion that you couldn't quite read.

"I.. Um.." you stumble on your words as you try to buy time to think.
Not only have you never been on a date before, but the Prince was a bit.. Unpredictable.
And you weren't sure if you were willing to accept or not.

Despite your concerns, his eyes bore into you like hot swords.
"I don't know.." You mumble. From the corner of your eye, you notice his body stiffen.
"What..?" His voice was drenched in defeat and a pinch of surprise.
"It's just that.. I.. I've never.. Been on a date." Your voice wavers as you speak.

You weren't lying, after all. Having lived in the village your whole life, there weren't a whole lot of dating options, especially within a comfortable age range.
Though, your grandparents said that when you were little, you had a crush on a boy named Hiyal. But his family moved to the grass city a long time ago, so you don't remember him.

"Oh!" He speaks with a new energy. "Is that all?" A chuckle in his voice, he takes you by the hand and leans in close to you.
"I suppose I'll have to make sure that its extra special, won't I?" He plants a small kiss on your forehead.

Your mind races with thoughts.
What even is this festival? What does he mean by "Extra special"? What is he going to do? You still have so much to do in the garden. When will you be able to go home to your family?

Just as you can feel yourself begin to panic, a sound catches your attention, like a tiny winter festival bell jingling. Looking for the source, you glance all around. Its like the sound isn't coming from anywhere.
However, the Prince looks at the small fairy on his shoulder. He Acknowledges it as if it were speaking.

"Is that so?" The Prince says as he holds up his hand for the fairy to sit upon.
The jingling continues, his eyes widen in surprise, but the smile on his face shows his excitement. "Would that truly work? You're certain?"

He's talking to the fairy?
He can understand the fairy?

The bells finally ceased, and the Prince grinned mischievously from ear to ear.
"Then I shall invite the Royal men from seas edge to beyond the canyon! The sailor harodts' and Barbaric Khasm brothers! All will bare witness!"
One final tiny jingle from the fairy before it flew up out of his palm, fluttering past his face, circling around him a few times before flying off into the wooded area of the garden.

You had just been watching, completely taken aback.
For as long as you can remember, only children can talk to Fairies. And yet..

As you were going to speak up, you feel your feet move forward. But it wasn't against your will this time- You can move again!

Did whatever spell that was on you finally where off? But the flower still remains in your hand..
However.. No, it surely couldn't be the fairies departure that freed you. After all, it wasn't the fairy's introduction that turned your lower body against you.

Looking over to the Prince's direction, you wondered if you should ask him. However, he was no longer there.

Nothing was around but open woods.
The chirping of birds & the sound of the breeze weaving through branches was all you heard.
No footsteps, no bells.

Sighing, you decide to leave the garden. You were tired, physically from work & mentally for reasons you're not sure of.

Walking through the sparse woods, you spot the tree that the Prince placed the Fairy cradles in.
Was the one at Ace's side the only one that had woken up?
Peeking inside of the trees opening, you saw that roughly half of the cradles were still there. For whatever reason, you felt relief upon seeing this.

Without thinking, you gently trace the back of your pointer finger over a pale green cradle. It was slightly smaller then the others. Not by much, only just enough to be noticeable.

As you softly touch the small cradle, you noticed it become warmer. Not worryingly so, but you were certain of the temperature change.
Something in you didn't want to leave it. Whatever the feeling was, it felt attached to the cradles.
So.. Against your better judgement, you took the small green cradle, as well as a few others.

Keeping them tucked away safely in your blouse, you opened the garden door. As you enter, you get hit with the cool air. You hadn't noticed how warm the midday sun was till now. Though it should quickly cool down after sundown.

After entering your room, you don't hesitate to sit down on your bed. A sigh escaped your lips as you did.
Removing the four Cradles, you place them on your bed and change into your night clothing.
You've already decided to call it a night, even if you'll miss dinner.

After changing, you take the cradles, gently placing them into your clothes and set them on the bed.
You have no crystals for them, but that could be fixed that later.
Laying down next to the cradles, you finally close your eyes and allow yourself to drift off to sleep.
