|(A/N): Yes, the dream cliché. So sorry (╥﹏╥) But pay attention.|

You were playing a board game at Carols house with Lynn, Inui, Cherri, Gran & Mei.
Sei and Carol were sitting at the kitchen table drinking tea.
Inui moved his piece a few spaces and chose a card, holding his blue card up to the candle light to read in the dark he said.
"Don't hesitate, or it will be too late. Move up two spaces." He placed down the card and moved his piece.

Lynn picked up the dice and rolled them, you couldn't tell what she had rolled, but she looked happy with it and moved her piece. She too chose a card.
A grey one.
She cleared her throat before putting on a somewhat pompous sounding accent.
"Open your eyes, the answer is what you decide. Move-" Sei and Carol laughed loudly, so you couldn't hear how many spaces she needed to move.
But she didn't move her piece.

Mei Rolled the dice, but seemed disappointed by what she got. She moved it one space and chose a card.
Red.
"Forgiveness is only yours to give. Move back two spaces." She moved her piece back and hung her head, hugging her knees. She isn't usually a bad sport, so you were going to ask her if she was okay, but Granny stopped you by placing her hand on your shoulder. She shook her head, a somewhat sad expression on her face. You hoped that she hadn't slipped back into old habits.

It was your turn. You rolled the dice, but before they even hit the board, the front door swung open.
It was Domi.
He was rambling and shouting incoherently, tears in his eyes. Everybody except Mei, Inui and Cherri got up to comfort him and ask what was wrong.
After a few seconds he finally got his thoughts into words. Which shook you to your bones.
"Th-They're coming! They're coming and we can't find grandpa!"
Everybody stopped, we already knew who it was.
Khasm soldiers.

You stood up looking at everybody. Inui and Cherri were huddled together, Cherri holding Inui protectively. And Lynn quickly held them both tightly.
Sei was still trying to calm Domi.
That's when you heard the sound of Carols tea cup shattering as it hit the floor. She had dropped it in her state of shock.
Domi put aside his own panic to try and calm her, Sei joining in.
But despite their attempt, she immediately locked eyes with you, tears threatening to pour over.
"Seal the Gate."
Your bloodline are the only ones who could seal the gate, so you looked to your Gran for confirmation.
But she wasn't there.

You ran outside to the gate as quick as you could. And just beyond the gate you saw the Prince. Prince Ace, standing there calmly waiting for you. But what horrified you was the large crowd of armed soldiers, only a bit more then a mile away.
The Prince smiled and offered you his hand.
"Come with me and I'll make sure they'll be safe." You turned to see Lynn, who was protectively standing in front the boys. She shook her head as to say "Don't do it"
Looking back at the Prince, your eyes widdened in horror. his pristine white garb was stained red, his outstretched hand drenched in crimson liquid. His sword was drawn and by his side, bloodied.
You stepped back as your stomach churned. "No!" You shouted at him.
A sudden gust of wind blew your hair into your face, blocking your vision.
Once the wind was gone, so was he.

But the Khasm soldiers were getting closer.
You looked around, Carol was having an utter breakdown in Sei's arms.
Lynn was holding the boys as they panicked. Your Grandparents were nowhere to be seen.
And Mei looked up at you with pain in her eyes, saying something that you couldn't hear.

You held your hands out in front of you, taking a deep breath to calm your nerves. You then let your magic flow through your palms. Your (F/C) Magic slowly stretched across the large Tori Gateway.
But something was wrong.

It isn't supposed to take this long.
You open your eyes to look at the Gate.
Your magic isn't connecting to the corners of the Gate. Keeping your hands on your Semi-solid magic, you turned to see the citizens of the village standing outside of their homes, holding each other.
Your vision began to blur as your eyes brimmed with tears.

You can't do it.
You can't seal the Gate..
Just as you come to this realization, an arrow shoots past dangerously close to you.
Turning back toward the Soldiers, they were suddenly far closer. Too close.
They were here.
You tried harder, pouring all of your energy into closing the Gate as tears rolled down your cheeks.
Why isn't it working?!

You close your eyes as you've lost too much energy to continue any longer. All you see before you lose consciousness is a red hot fire spreading across your village, engulfing everything.

You hear a female voice say
"I'm sorry."

Your eyes shoot open, real tears blur your vision. You wipe your eyes and sniffle quietly.
The Prince was sleeping soundly with his back towards you.
There's no way you could get back to sleep after that, but you didn't want to wake him up.
Carefully, you sat up and took the blankets off.
The air was cold, and the floor was colder as your feet touched the ground.
You snuck out of the room, gently closing the door behind you.
You walk towards the boys room and peak in, opening the door slightly. The door creaks and Domi shifts a bit before looking over at you.
"Nn.. What is it?" He asks, rubbing his eye.
"I had a bad dream." You say shyly.
He chuckles and scoots over in his bed to give you room.
You climb in and curl up next to him.
His bed wasn't very big, but it was comforting to be so close to the boys.
He hugged you close and you felt so much better already. He always smelled like flowers, you know its because he secretly uses your soap, but it was comforting at the moment.
Just as you close your eyes, you hear him speak up again.
"Don't worry sis', I got you.."
Your eyes widen.
He called you "Sis". He hasn't called you that in a long time.
You smiled and hugged him close.
"Thanks"
