You lay your head back against the bedframe and let out an annoyed grumble.
Now of all times? I can't even stand, let alone make it to a bathroom.

Looking up at the ceiling, you wonder what happened earlier. That feeling was so odd. Was that something abnormal, or is that just what rage feels like?
Even now you can feel your heartbeat in your head.

There isn't a cure for Amaryllis exhaustion, unfortunately. So even if you did have access to, well, anything, it wouldn't help you.
At least it can't kill you..
Maybe Clemente will have some non-magic solution.

A loud click sounds from the door to your side, and you hear footsteps tread inside.

You glance over at the door, but instead of Misandra or Clemente, its the person you least want to see.

Prince ace closes the door behind him and looks at you with a calm smile. He crouches down beside you and traces his knuckle over your cheek.
You can't see your own face, but you likely don't look very amused.
But that doesn't seem to upset him at all. He keeps his smile as he looks you over.

He stands back up before holding out his hand towards you.
Is he serious? He honestly believes you'd go anywhere with him?
Even your lack of cooperation doesn't seem to move his spirit.
He let's out a small laugh "You can be pouty if you want, it doesn't change anything (Y/N)."

He walks over to the window and drops the blinds, darkening the room. The sharp reflections of the sun bouncing off of the glass and gold in the room, now gone.
"Even if you refuse to cooperate, or go as far as to struggle and be defiant."
He turns back to you, bending over you, he rests his hand on your head.
"You won't stop this from happening. By the time the ceremony is over, you won't even want to leave." He leans in and places a soft kiss on your forehead.

So that's what Suzu meant..
Prince Ace remains unmoving, just watching you. His grey eyes are so intense, even in the darkness that surrounds you. You become more uncomfortable with very passing second that his gaze is still locked onto you.
Though his gaze suddenly rips away from you. You may have been relieved, if it weren't for what had caused the disruption.

"(Y/N), he's-" Misandra stops, having swung the door wide open in her haste.
Were there no guards to stop her?
Her eyes showed surprise and fear, but only for a second. Quickly replaced with a smile.
"Oh, Big brother! You're already here! Did you figure out what you're going to wear yet? You two just have to match!"
Ace smiles at his younger sibling, standing up to full height beside you.
"Not quite yet, though I believe the white coat would be best for the occasion."
She sighs "You're gonna wear all white, aren't you?" Her guestion only earns a light hearted chuckle from her brother.
Misandra stops for a moment. Her face takes on a genuine look of thoughtfulness.
"Well.. You still need a pop of color though. I mean, it is a flower ceremony."
She approaches her older brother and looks him over closely. "Oh!" She exclaims. "I know!" She excitedly scampers back towards the door "Hold on, I'll go get it!"
She closes the door behind her, and you can hear her rapid footsteps trail down the hall.

You glance at the Prince, just in time to see that he's inches from you.
You let out a surprised sound right before he tucks one arm under your knees, and wraps his other around your mid section.
You were fairly shocked when he managed to hoist you up, you'd never expect him to be strong enough to carry you. He didn't seem to struggle at all as he calmly held you bridal style. His face was a bit close to yours this way, and from the expression on his face, you can tell that he's enjoying it quite a bit.

You're placed gently back into the bed, Prince Ace sitting beside you on the edge of the bed.
Your body was still far too tired to move properly, but you were able to push yourself up into a sitting position.
"Hm? Aren't you still tired? Surely you'd like to sleep some more."
It may not look like it to somebody on the outside, but you're more awake then ever right now.
"No.." You mumble plainly.

He hums in thought for a moment before speaking up.
"Maybe you don't understand this, but.. Its tradition in my family. Passed on through generations."
Gently, he moves a lock of hair away from your face.
"My mother did so, my grandmother, my great grandfather.." he seemed fond of the last one as he said it aloud.
"This is a royal custom?" You spout, more venom laced in your voice then you thought you were capable of in your current state.
He chuckles "No, No.." You glance at him through the corner of your eyes.
He smiles at you as he seems to reminiscence on old memories.
"Its a tradition from my mothers family."

The Queens family..
"The ceremonies are truly beautiful. I think you'll like it." he looks lost in thought as he speaks.
"I of course didn't get to see my parents being bonded, but I was there for my elder brothers ceremony. And my aunts, though I don't remember much of it."

"What happens in them? What do you remember of your brothers."
Out of nowhere, a chill rolls up your spine, and you can't place why or where it came from.
Prince Ace places a hand on your cheek.
"You want to know? That's so very sweet.. Maybe I'll tell you all about my family.."
A devious grinn takes his lips as he leans in closer to your face.
"When you're a part of it."
He pulls back and let's out a hardy laugh, almost sounding like his fathers laugh, though not nearly as comforting.

The door swings open, Misandra carrying a full white outfit over her shoulder and a basket full of flowers.
"Alright!" She shouts "Let's get you ready, we don't have all day~"
