I wake up, same as I do every dreadful school morning, with my phone's alarm blaring in one ear and my mom's mouth in the other. "Audrey!" Ugh. She's all the way downstairs and I still can hear her. The struggle. I didn't respond fast enough for her liking. "Audrey! Get your ass up! I know you can hear me-" How could I not? I push the blankets off and yell back, "Okay, okay, I'm up!" I practically dragging myself to my dresser to grab some not- even knee length shorts and a t-shirt. I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my purse and binders. I started jogging down the stairs to go to my car when my mom was in the kitchen. "Audrey what are you-" I was scrolling through my feed, ignoring her. When I looked up she was taking in my outfit. "Well I got to go... Love you!" I yelled as I ran outside to my car.
