I hop in my car, texting Nick back from ten minutes ago.

Good morning. N

Gm. A

After texting him back so he wouldn't get butthurt, I hooked up my phone to my speakers and blasted Xxtentacion. Yea, he's bae. Don't judge.

When I finally got to my parking spot at school, Nick was waiting on me. I nonchalantly grabbed my stuff and walked over.

"You took like ten minutes to answer this morning. Busy?"

I rolled my eyes and handed him my stuff.

"Just cause you have nothing else better to do but sit by your phone doesn't mean I don't. I'm surprised I responded as fast as I did to be honest."

He feigned hurt, a hand on his heart.

"Ouch."

I started walking towards the building, already tuning him out.

I was walking up the stairs when I saw Carter. We saw each other at the same time, both of us smiling.

We jogged over to each other, meeting in the middle of the staircase.

"Good morning, Nick carrying your stuff?" He full on laughed, which made me laugh.

"You got jokes? And yea, he's carrying my stuff as usual. Why would I?"

"Oh how could I ever forget, goodness forbid Audrey Harper carry her own binder. C'mon before we're late, even though your not worried about that either." Then, started laughing as he started up the stairs.

To clear things up, Carter Bradshaw is my BEST FRIEND. I've known him since kindergarten days, and he's been my only close friend other than Nick, who doesn't really count, for about three years now. He's amazing, not a jerk (most of the time), not super clingy, overall a great guy. Never dated him, a shocker I know. But he's and always will remain my best friend.

"Well hold on stupid your legs are seven feet long, let me catch up!" I yelled as I jogged up the stairs to get even with Carter.
