"Are you sure?"
She stared at Taeyong while they are at his office in his house. Hae said he's here, working with his new car models that's why she's there.
She inhaled a deep breath. She has been asked the same question by at least four people, and her answer is still the same.
"Yes. I'm very sure, Tae." She nodded with determination.
Taeyong sighed. "You really want to join the league?"
She shook her head. "That's not the only thing I want to do, Tae. I want to be part of his legacy."
Taeyong's eyes widened and he sat up straight. He was taken aback. She knows that. Just like when she talked to Dokyeom, his reaction was also like Taeyong's. And she can understand why.
"You want to continue your brother's legacy?" He asked that same question Dokyeom asked. Sey Chelle did too. She still thinks she's crazy but she said she will support her. She knows she needs this. And she understands that.
"I want to continue his legacy." He corrected Taeyong. . She doesn't want to replace Light. As far as she's concerned, Light will always be part of the legacy of the league. He's one of the people who founded the Legacy League.
Since then, there were Seven Kings in Legacy: Thunder, Dokyeom, Leo, Ravi, Ken, Light and Wonwoo. Thunder married a year ago and eventually retired. They left the country to live in London where his wife was based that's why he left the league. But he still kept in touch with them. And Taeyong came as his replacement.
But Light never had his replacement. The Light Legacy he emptied still remains empty. And she wants to fill that space. I need to fill that empty space.
Taeyong nodded. "I think you should talk to the other six." He then said.
"I talked to Dokyeom first." She said. "And he's okay with it. She also talked to the others and they all agreed." Except for one, she thought with a sigh.
She really planned on talking to Dokyeom before the others, because she knows he can convince the others especially Leo. Leo said he approved if the rest will approve, no questions asked. It's not easy to join the Legacy. Everyone in their field knows that.
Legacy League is the wild racers' guild, the champions' team. They traine drivers into their full potential. And they never lose any race, unless they race against each other.
Yet it was not her reason for joining. And Dokyeom and the others know that.
"Wonwoo said yes?" She can hear the surprise in Taeyong's voice. Then he clapped his hands and smiled. "If that's the case then, there won't be any problem."
"Well . . ." She trailed off. The smile on Taeyong's face vanished. "I still haven't talked to him yet."
He moved forward from his seat. "He doesn't know your plan?"
She shook her head. She doesn't think Wonwoo knows. She asked Dokyeom not to tell him. It's not that she doesn't want to talk to him. It's just that she want to secure their approval first before she talks to him. At least, when he rejects her, she has some backups.
She doesn't think he would approve so easy like the others did. She's sure about that. Everything about Wonwoo is complicated especially when she's the subject. And that's maybe because we have unfinished business.
Taeyong put a hand under his chin with a thoughtful look. "For the longest year, he didn't let anyone take Light's place. Light Legacy has always been empty. And believe me, many had tried. But Light remains as his own legacy. And you are his sister. I think Wonwoo will agree to it. I think it's won't be too hard if you talk to him."
