"What's up?" Leanne asked Sey Chelle as she sat down in front of her.
She just came home when she called that she wants to talk to her. So even if she's tried after getting the things she left on Wonwoo's unit, she drove up there.
But, she didn't expect this talk would go down to this. She sounded so calm over the phone, but as she looked at her right now with those suspicious eyes, she's starting to think this was anything but calm and friendly. She looked so serious and all business-like.
"I already ordered for you." She opined when she noticed she was looking for the waiter. She hasn't had dinner and she's tired of arranging her stuffs.
Wonwoo even wanted to drive her home when she came to his unit to get her things. But she was so rattled with what happened in his office. She can't think straight when she's with him. Good thing Chan called him before he could drive her home.
She cleared her throat and tried to pacify herself before she started squirming in her seat thinking about that hot, steamy kiss. And there goes the butterflies again . . .
"So." She sighed and ignored those pair of scrutinizing eyes boring into her. "Is there any particular reason we're here?"
Then she got something out of her bag. "Tell me about this." She said a while later and handed her her phone.
At first, she didn't react. She was just looking at the picture of two people — a boy and a girl whose face were blurred in purpose. And then reality slowly sank in as she read the caption:
Two royalties in the Race track, caught up together being all with while intertwining their fingers head out Carat Empire.
"Well . . . ?" Sey Chelle prompted.
She has no alibi . . . Nope, none at all, especially when she wore the stark evidence that the girl on that photo was her. She could feel the heat creeping up on her face and warming her body as she read the silent accusing look on her friend's face, because she was looking at her like she knows everything — even that short rendezvous in Wonwoo's office.
Yep, remembering what happened that afternoon didn't help.
She just shrugged nonchalantly, hoping Sey won't pick up on her blushes. "Well what?" She said and returned her phone. No, she won't justify what was implied or not in that picture.
She sighed and dropped her managerial face and looked at her with a worried expression. "A." She said, "Just tell me if any of that was true or not. I have to know if there's anything I should know about you and Wonwoo."
She could see she was really concerned about the rumor and despite her irritation of this sudden intrusion of her privacy, she know she was right. She has to know the truth.
But as she opened her mouth, nothing came out. Sey Chelle's forehead crease, waiting for her words or her explanation . . . Bu what will she say?
Wonwoo and her are not dating, are they? Nor did he say or mention they're exclusively together. He didn't say anything and she didn't ask. So what happens after that kiss? And then there's the four-letter word she told him.
Does a kiss change everything?
Well, it was not just a kiss. It was a lot more — bigger and sublime than just a mere touching of lips. It was ethereal. Beautiful.
But did Wonwoo feel the same as I felt?
Sey Chelle drummed her fingers on the table out of impatience. So she just sighed, shrugged and told her what she knows.
