The following day, Wonwoo shut off. He refused to see anyone. He doesn't accept visitors, except his siblings. He kept all of us outside the door.
Leo and Taeyong were mad but Ravi talked to them and calmed them down. Ravi was right. They don't know what goes through for Wonwoo at the moment and what his reasons for doing that are. All they could do is to wait for the door to be open up again for them.
"It's not the first time he did this." Leanne heard Ravi said to Leo. "Let's just give him some time."
"We're just worried about him." Taeyong reasoned. It's obvious that he's still pissed off by his friend's attitude.
Ravi patted his shoulders. "And that's precisely what the man hates."
Leanne stayed a little bit longer after Ravi and the other boys left. Hoping that Wonwoo's mind would change and miss the people around him. But he's a loner. He wants his world to be silent and peaceful.
She was starting to log off on the bench she's been sitting since she came when she saw Irene walking out of Wonwoo's suit. The girl's forehead creased when she saw her still seating there.
"Aianne, why are you still here?" She came to her and sits beside her. She noticed the tote bag with her and her coat that was not with her when she came down to the hospital's cafeteria hours ago. "Visiting hours is over."
She sleepily looked at her watch to see that it's already 9:30 in the evening. She's been there sitting and waiting for hours.
She slouched down and she heard her sigh. "I'm sorry about Wonwoo. I know he's being . . . I don't know . . . hard-headed, self-pitying mule. He's acting like a baby." Irene smiled at her, a tired smile. She's the only one who watched over Wonwoo yesterday. Add on Wonwoo being a baby.
"It's okay. I understand him." She said even if the truth is she doesn't. Wonwoo had this complex mind, everything can go complicated.
"Good thing for you, you understand him." She said smiling then she sighed. "If only Dad could do it too, you know." Her wary smile turned into a sad line. "He's been giving Wonwoo a hard time again, especially now that he knew Oppa when back to car racing again. He was furiously mad but I understand him too. He was just scared of what happened to Oppa, and shocked too. I know he didn't mean what he said."
Her conscience dropped down her system making her sit straight.
"That's why Oppa doesn't want to have visitors. He's not even letting Mom see him. It's frustrating. But Wonwoo Oppa is always like that. He's sensitive when it comes to Dad. I'm sorry that even you and his other friends had been frustrated about his decision too."
"It's my fault." She can't help a groan while burying her face on her hands. "What happened is my entire fault. I shouldn't have dared him to do it. He wouldn't race if I didn't force him to. He wouldn't be like this now."
"Hey, it's okay." She felt Irene's hand soothing her back. "Nothing will happen even if we blame one another here. And I know my brother." She said. "He attracts danger."
She knows Irene was trying to make her feel better. And she feels embarrassed because she knew she's tired yet she chose to be an additional burden to her.
She sighed. "I'm really sorry, Irene. If it's okay, I can take care of Wonwoo. But he doesn't want to see me or any of the guys."
Irene suddenly smiled, a wicked one. "You really want to take care of him?"
"Well . . ." She started, pushing aside the teasing eyes she laid on her. "I just want to do my part in this matter. I want to do something for all of you. And for Wonwoo." She doesn't know how but if he let them see him, then maybe they could help him feel a little bit better.
