LEANNE AIANNE'S POV

I opened my mouth but then closed them because I couldn't say something. I can't meet his eyes. They were so furious.

What will I say? How do I tell him the truth without hurting him?

"What? You can't tell me?" He taunted. "DO I need to hear it from someone else before you tell me?" He pointed an angry finger to somewhere. "Those suitcases? What are they for, Leanne? Tell me!" He shouted and my body recoiled from the ferocity of his rage. He's body almost trembled in anger.

This was not supposed to happen. This isn't it.

He looked at me with cynical perusal. "You're making it a habit to lie to me, aren't you?"

"Wonwoo, it's no—"

"You didn't lie to me?" He cut me off. "You don't see withholding information from me a form of lying, do you? Lie or secret, they still look the same, LEANNE AIANNE — You. FOOLED. ME." He's emphasizing each word. "I can't believe I listened to what you said. I actually believed you cared . . . But all along, you were thinking about leaving me."

"Wonwoo, please. You have to believe me. It's not my intention to make you feel like that. I don't know how to tell you this. I was waiting for the right time."

His nose flared. "That's bullshit, Leanne, because you've had the chance to tell me but still you chose to keep your mouth shut!"

"I was going to tell you but something happened. You think I can tell you I'm leaving when your father lies on a hospital bed?"

"But you're still leaving anyway."

I stared at him. I wanted to take away the pain in his voice, in his eyes, but he was miles away. The damage was done.

"Wonwoo, if I ever leave, it's not because I want to leave you."

"FVCKING BULLSHIT!" He spat volume of curses, his eyes screaming with hurt but he was trying hard not to show it. "You know, Leanne! You know I needed you now!"

I closed my eyes. "I know . . ."

"But you already made up your mind." He said and I could hear my heart shattered into pieces.

I was letting him down.

"Tell me . . . is that why you let me make love to you? Because you're finally saying goodbye? You let me take your virginity because you thought it as a parting gift, didn't you? DIDN'T YOU?!"

"Yes, but it's not that simple, Wonwoo! I love you that's why I let it happen!"

He let go of a laugh — one that was full of stinging sarcasm and incredulity. He doesn't believe me.

"You love me?" He asked, sarcastically. "You want me to buy that when you're fvcking leaving? Do I look that stupid to you?"

"Damn it, Wonwoo! What do you want me to say?" I frustratedly took a seat. My knees are betraying me. My chest was burning and Wonwoo doesn't believe me.

But more than that, I wounded him.

Silence fell like a tight rope around our neck. It was suffocating. I could clearly hear his breathing, and the deafening voice of his anger.

He moved to take a seat, but he chose the one that was farthest away from me. That was more than telling something. I don't know how I can be next to him.

I need to make him understand. I need him to understand that reason why I am doing this. But how? I can see he was already building an invisible wall between us.
