JEON WONWOO'S POV

One Year Later . . .

The sound of the buzzer from the intercom pulled me out from the thoughts that had been insistently filling my head for months now — thoughts and memories that I realized I had never been able to exorcise, and God knows I tried.

For months, I supposed I was able to forget them; I even told and convinced myself that I did. But hell, they just won't go away. Not even for a long while.

They're just kept hidden at the back of my mind. Lurking and waiting for my most vulnerable time to consume me.

"Mr. Jeon, Ms. Kim is here to see you." Yura's cool professional voice seeped into my head, breaking my train of thoughts again.

I sighed. I can't seem to get my head straight right now. And someone came just to ruin my day.

"Okay." I told her and didn't bother to direct her to send my regular visitor in because I know she will invite herself inside even if I tell her no.

And just as I predicted, my office door swung open and a lady without grace, much less a decency to knock poked her head in.

"Hello, Mr. Cold Billionaire. Are you busy?" She grinned.

I ignored her and went back to work. But she didn't get the signal and the impression that I am busy. She just went in and closed the door behind her.

"Do you have something to do after this?"

"Sohye, I'm in the middle of work." I said and that earned me a scowl. But I know she's not mad. She just doesn't like that I'm working and 'disgustingly' rich. Her words, not mine.

She went near my table and dipped her head near my laptop the moved away later.

"Burning your brows again, I see." Then she lifts herself up on the edge of my table.

I called her out multiple times about not to sit there and instead use the visitor's couch, but I just don't know if she's being forgetful or just she can't understand me.

"This is hardly burning my eyebrows — and it's still my work time." I added for good measure. I know that she's going to scold me for staying in my office for too long, or worse, she'll think I'm back in isolating myself again — which is I'm done doing.

"Gosh, Wonu, when will you learn the word relax?"

I eyed her. "Until you remove your face out of here."

"Hmmp! You'll miss my beauty though."

I snorted. "I thought that's beyond your dictionary?" I'm surprised she even knew that word.

"Well, surprise!" She said proudly. "You'll be more surprised if you knew my secrets."

"Not interested."

"Stoooop. You're my stalker for all I know."

I just sighed. She couldn't do something, could she?

"So why are you here? Do I have an appointment to you?"

She made a face. "I'm your friend. You're my friend. It's natural for me to visit you, isn't it?" She pouted. "It's just you who doesn't like visiting me at my office."
