Lena Finds Out (One shot)

The Clock is Ticking

Supergirl flew onto the porch at the DEO after quickly dropping off Lena at LCorp even after Lena's protests. Lena didn't seem angry. Yet. She did just discover that Kara was Supergirl, but this was not the time for drama and both of them knew that. They had also both just discovered that Alex, Kara's biggest weakness as well as her largest strength, was kidnapped and on the verge of death is she didn't break the most evil and craziest person in the world out of prison. Why did they need him anyway?

"Kara! Alex is-" Winn began running up to her, but Supergirl harshly cut him off, "I know, I know. And I know who did it."

"Who?" Winn asked anxiously walking with her by her side.

"Cadmus." She said quickly and walked up to J'honn.

"What does Cadmus want?" J'honn asked chiming in.

"Lex. They want me to break Lex Luthor out of prison and they will release her, but I have only 72 hours."

"Well we both know that the DEO does not negotiate with terrorists." J'honn said firmly showing no emotion. Like usual.

"Well what else are we supposed to do? If they get Lex then I get Alex." Supergirl said with the bubble of wrath slowly expanding up her throat.

"Yeah. Kara is right. I'm mean this is Alex!" Winn said already tapping away at his good old tablet.

"Yeah, this is Alex!" Spoke up Mon-El surprising them that he was there.

"But Lex Luthor is one of the most dangerous people in the world." Hank said grimly and Supergirl silently agreed even how much it hurt to.

"Why do you think they need him?" Asked Supergirl once looking up from the ground that she stared at for a while.

"I don't know, but we're gonna find out."

Supergirl nodded her head and reached for her phone quickly. She had to tell Maggie.

Maggie barged into the DEO with her eyes watering as she tried not to cry and Kara was fighting her hardest to do the same.

"Do we know where she is? Do we know how to get her? Who took her? Who-who-" Maggie rambled on begging for answers as Kara quickly cut her off by putting her hands the the police's shoulders.

"It's okay, we're going to find her. Cadmus took her and in exchange they want Lex Luthor." Kara calmed her down in a soothing voice.

"Lex Luthor? He's- he's a mass murderer!" Maggie exclaimed with a her heart hitched in her throat.

"I know.." Kara responded quietly and suddenly found her boots mesmerizing.

Maggie pulled away from her comforting hold and started to pace in circles thinking to herself in a separate room.

They had 70 more hours and had nothing. Kara stayed at the DEO with Winn and J'onn hoping that they would come up with something. Anything.

She stood on the famous porch of which she flew on and off everyday just hearing for her voice. Alex has to be somewhere, she couldn't be dead.

Kara was suddenly shaken from her deep thought as she stared out onto the stars with her super-hearing trying to pick up on her sister's sound when her phone rang. Supergirl quickly grabbed it from her pocket and answered,

"Hello?"

"Hey Kara, I know that right now we aren't on the best of terms, but I still care about you. I want to know if you are alright because I know how much your sister means to you." Lena said into the other line.
