Lillian paced in circles, plotting her next plan of attack.

"Ms. Luthor?" Came a familiar voice.

"What?" She growled at Micheal.

"I'm sorry, but we have just heard that Supergirl has returned."

She snapped around with her beady eyes staring him down.

"One of our spies at the DEO has reported that she has awaken."

"Any other news?" She hissed in his direction.

"She doesn't have her powers."

Lillian smirked such a devilish smile that it defied all good. "Get ready to attack."

Kara lay in her bed staring at the dark far ceiling. It was late at night and she couldn't sleep. Every time her eyes closed flashes of her sister's limp body falling before her were shown. Her screams echoed in her ears and the gun shot fired, making her fall silent.

She knew that Alex was alive, but it didn't change her scarring visions. It didn't change her dreams and it didn't change her feelings. It didn't change the fact that her powers are gone for only Rao knows how long. And it sure as hell didn't change the fact that Cadmus was still loose, dangerous, and undefeated. Didn't help that Lillian was furious at Supergirl and Kara was at a venerable position, physically and mentally.

And so she gazed at the ceiling waiting for the first light of dawn to cascade in her window and brighten the dark and black room.

Alex couldn't sleep very well either. She woke up every half hour to an hour from anxiety. Anxiety about Cadmus and if her little sister is alright and breathing. Anxiety about Maggie being taken again or herself being dragged away and nearly killed.

Lena couldn't sleep, like Kara. Her mind ventured into unknown lands where the dark thoughts creep. Worried about her satanic mother and best friend, who she doesn't know anything about at the moment. Thoughts like: is she okay? Is she alive? Did she die? What happened? Circled her brain.

And thoughts of her mother like: will she attack again? Is she hurt over Lex's death? Is she going to hurt me again? Is she going to hurt Kara again? Also crept in her thoughts.

The next day grudged into view as sun rose. Kara nor Lena were sleeping. Not a single snooze all night.

Lena looked like she had been hit by a train, with her hair and mess from constant twisting and turning in her bed, and dark bags under her eyes.

On the other hand Kara looked no different, with her being kryptonian and all. She looked as flawless as always.

The sun felt warm and soft on her skin. It healed the exhaust of the night, like it heals all wounds, but Kara wishes it healed her wounds and scarred deep inside. The wounds that could never be healed, but hopefully treated.

Kara walked to the DEO in her usual Kara Danvers outfit. Once she arrived, Alex ran to her side. As you know, since Kara doesn't have her powers Alex's kryptonite didn't affect her.

Kara smiled warmly and gave her a big hug. Her big heart fluttered in her chest. All night of seeing Alex fall limp, blood seeping from her head, forming a big puddle around her body. It was a relief to see her sister.

Once they parted from the embrace, Alex said. "I know that I saw you yesterday, but I still missed you."

"I missed you too."

They stood there for a second, not knowing what to say. Finally, Winn ran up and broke the silence.

"Cadmus alert!" He exclaimed, basically jumping up and down.

They both shot their head in his directions. "Cadmus is sending a signal to us right now." Winn said.

They both raced to Winn's computer screen. A static screen showed with Cadmus written in no letters. Then it went black.

In a robotic, sinister voice, it said, "Supergirl. We have a request."

"What is it?" Kara snarled.

"Meet us at 1395 on National Drive at 9:30 PM. Alone. If you do not follow our expectations they will die."

Suddenly the screen switched to surveillance of a dark room, with a small family cowering in the corner. It was a son, mother, and father. A man stood before them with a gun directed their way.

Kara's heart leaped in her chest. The computer exploded in a shower of sparks. Everyone ducked out of the way, including Kara.

Once Alex stood she turned to Kara and said, "It's a trap. You can't go."

"Alex, there are citizens in jeopardy. I have to." She responded sternly.

"Kara, let the DEO handle it. Please." Alex begged.

"They want me. Not the DEO. I'm going."

"Kara, please!"

Then Kara said again, more strict, "I'm going. End of story."
