"We've got to find that old wolf." Noah says breaking the eery silence that had settled over the clearing when Jonathan ran out.
"Yes we do." I look into his blue orbs and understand completely. We are going to find her.
"Noah you will come with us back to our village, and your pack can too as long as they swear to not attack us." Alpha Blake outlines the basic points of the plan again, as we sit around the large fire in the small clearing our group is still camped in. "You and Silver will go into the nearest human settlement and sniff out a lead on the old wanderer. When you get one, Silver will contact me, to let me know where and when you will be heading for the lead. Everyone with me so far?" After an ascension of nods he continues. "Wherever you travel keep a watch out for Jonathan, and if you find the wanderer ask her what to do. This is as good. Plan a we've got now people, we leave at dawn. Noah you new to go to your pack and tell them what ha happened and what is to come. Now everyone get some rest, we have a long travel ahead of us." Everyone stands and disappears into the darkness.
I make it to the edge of the trees before warm hands settle on my hips, and I'm flipped around into a hard chest. I look up into a pair of icy eyes, that seem to melt my heart. I bury my face in Noah's warm neck, and inhale his addicting scent. His strong arms wrap around my back and my arms encircle his broad torso.
"You really don't know how happy I am to have found you." he whispers into my hair. I feel his lips curve into a smile before leaning away from me. He looks into my stormy eyes and leans in slowly, taunting me.
"You tease." I whisper before fisting the front of his shirt and pull his lips to mine. I meld my lips to his, in a short but hungry kiss. I break away and release his shirt. I turn away from him and start walking towards my temporary bed.
"Night Noah." I call over my shoulder, throwing my arm up in a sloppy wave. I hear him chuckle before I make it to my bed. As I'm about to lay down, a thought hits me, I found my mate. And then I fall asleep.
I wake up to a heavy band around my waist which after further investigation ends up being Noah's arm. A smile curves up my lips, he left his pack and came all the back here in the middle of the night just to be with me. My wolf purrs with contentment.
We found our mate. I say again, the thought still not sinking in.
I knew we would. She sighs again, relishing in the contact with our mate.
I prop myself up onto my elbows, and absentmindedly rub my hand over my mark. I still can believe it. I came on this trip expecting to kill whoever stood in our way, by instead I found my mate and then almost killed his father. Another thought hits me, he must not be very close with his father if he wasn't worried about him. And he didn't seem to be. I made a mental note to ask him about it later, heck I didn't even know his age. But there would be plenty of time for that, we would be traveling for possibly weeks together. A shiver travels down my spine at the thought of being alone with Noah nights upon nights. My smile widens when Noah lets out a soft noise, I reach my hand over and gently run it through his dark hair. His eyes slowly flutter open and he gazes up at me.
"Morning princess." He mumbles. His gravely morning sleep madden voices, melts my heart a little more. It has to be a puddle by now.
"Morning buddy." I gently ruffle his hair again, and a smile spreads across his face.
"Ok love birds, we need to go." The Alphas voice behind u makes to job out of my skin, I was so absorbed in Noah. I spring to my feet and land in a defensive stance before my mind processes what was said.
"Dammit Blake! Don't sneak up on me like that!" I shout when I finally calm down.
"Well you're usually impossible to sneak up on, seems you were a little occupied now though." He gives a smirk before turning back towards the rest of the pack. "Hurry up."
