(I can't believe this is chapter 40!!)

All eyes snap to me and Noah as we exit the woods and into the clearing where all the men of the pack are gathered.
The attention doesn't bother me, as I'm use to being the one watched, but what does bother me is the panicked look on most of the men's faces.
As I near the front of the crowd I spot Lincoln, and nerves spike higher as I see he looks worried as well.
"Lincoln! What's happened!?" His head snaps up and relief instantly wages over his features.
"Oh thank god." He runs a hand through his hair and I give him a questioning look. "We just received we'd from the border patrol that a pack has entered our territory. They will be upon the village within two hours." The hairs on the back of my neck prickle and I feel Noah tense beside me.
"We need to meet them somewhere away from the village to protect the ones here. And it needs to be somewhere you know well that will give us a fighting advantage. An we need to leave now." He nods at all my requests before turning toward his higher ups and speaking to them.
"I can feel them." Noah's deep voice is at my ear his hot breath pressing against my cheek. Spinning around, I find we are less than a foot apart.
"What do you mean?" His eyebrows draw together as if he is concentrating or trying to block something out.
"I am still tied to them so I can feel their presences as I'm sure they can feel mine. My dad especially is trying to break trough my mental barrier to reach me." He closes his eyes and takes a deep breathe.
Waning on my toe I press a kiss to the crease between his eyebrows and he instantly relaxes and leans into me.
"I love you Silver." He whispers against my forehead.
"I love you too Noah. It's all going to be ok." He nods before pressing a light kiss to my forehead.
"I believe you."

"Is everyone in position?" With a nod from Lincoln I head to Noah and I's spot on the small bluff behind a small outcropping of rock.
"Are you ready?" He whispers as I crouch down beside him. Taking his hand I squeeze it before nodding.

It's almost time.
