"So if there are hybrids, does that mean that vampires are real?" Noah's question comes so out of the blue I let out a giggle and give him a funny look. "well?"
Since he really seems to want the answer I purse my lips and keep shuffling forward. The sim light under the trees makes my vision tinted green as my werewolf senses work.
"Well, I guess if something is half something, there has to be a whole of both parents or whatever they are." my stomach lets out a loud growl and Noah chuckles.
"Looks like its time to stop." As luck would have it we hear water not to far away so we head towards it. When we reach the source of the sound, a small stream rushing down the slight incline and surrounded on our side by flat mossy ground, we drop our packs and I stretch my shoulders. It is sometime around 7 in the evening, and we had been walking since we left the Blue River Pack.
"Ill hunt." I tell Noah before stepping behind a tree and stripping my clothes off. I quickly fold them and lay them at the tree's base. I stretch my arms above my head before shifting into my silver wolf.
My bones shift and pop and my muscles grow, until I land on 4-paws. Shifting hurt the first couple of times, but now it is a welcome relief. I shake my thick fur out before heading out from behind the tree back towards Noah. When I spot him kneeling beside the creek getting a drink, a plan comes I got my head. I laugh in my head before gathering my legs under me and springing at Noah. I land against his back and he yells before falling into the water with a huge splash. I bark with laughter and let out a short howl.
The surface of the water breaks as Noah's dark head comes up. He coughs and splutters as water drips from his sopping hair, and his t shirt clings to his chest showing off his rippling muscles very nicely. When his icy blues finally land on me I lower my front half and wag my tail. A smile breaks across his face and he sluggedly wades through the water in my direction. His eyes take on a mischievous glint, and I backpedal as quick as possible. But not fast enough. Noah grabs my wolf shoulders and drags me howling into the water. The icy water hits me like a wall, and I'm so shocked I forget I'm in wolf form and shift back into a human. I stand up, my soaking hair feeling like a sweater as it lays over my chest. My very naked chest.
I scream before bending my knees so my naked body is under the icy water.
"What's wrong sugar dumplin'?" Noah says tauntingly. He smirks before leaning his back against the steep river bank. A flush starts to warm my icy cheeks but I get an idea.... again. Why is he the only one suffering from this, why not taunt him a little too. I smirk before turning around and standing up, the water reaches my mid low back, so luckily my butt is covered. I hear a small intake of breath and feel his eyes on my exposed back as the cold water slides off. I smile knowingly before pulling all of my very thick hair to the front where it covers my exposed chest, kind of like in the human movie Aquamarine.
I smile again before turning back to my mate.
"What's wrong, is that I am naked." I hold in a smirk at his sharp intake of breathe. "and I am very cold." the first part was very much true and Noah knew that, I could see it in the longing in his now dark blue eyes. But the second wasn't exactly, werewolves are never cold, as I am not either after my senses kicked in. "I really just need someone to hold me close. Wrap their arms around me and pull me to them." I give a small sigh and a pout. his eyes grow even darker, and I have to hold in a smirk. "Maybe I should call Drew." I tap my chin, but a loud growl interrupts me. I raise my eyes to Noah's which are still dark but now with rage.
"Who is Drew?" He spits the words out with such venom I have to hold in a shiver. His possessiveness would have gotten on my nerves, but with him it just makes me feel loved, cared about.
