Tonight was prom night and I was standing outside the school, waiting for my date to show up. I checked the time on my phone and saw that my date was half-an-hour late. I signed and walked into the school gym-looking for my friends.
I'd been looking for a while but couldn't find anyone. A slow song had started so I went to go sit down.
A few minutes later, I saw a familiar face sir next to me. "Becca? Why are you sitting alone?" Theo asked. "My date ditched me. I got stood up on prom night." I said, letting a single tear fall. "Hey don't cry. No one that looks as beautiful as you should ever 1. Be sitting alone and 2. Get stood up on prom night. C'mon," He said, standing. "What?" I asked. "Dance with me?" He asked holding his hand out for me to take. I smiled as he led me to where everyone was. "I've been looking for you guys forever!" I yelled over the music. "We got here like 20 minutes ago!" Lydia yelled back. I smiled, finally happy and enjoying my night. Then it happened. A girl came over to Theo and began screaming at him for ditching her. "What? I thought you came alone!" I yelled. "I'm sorry. I told her she wasn't my date but she clearly didn't understand me." He said.
I rolled my eyes, running outside. It was raining and I tripped and fell. I began to cry and I took off my shoes.
"Becca!" He yelled, running behind me. I got up and turned to him. "What Theo?! You said that you'd be my date and I wasn't even your first choice!" I yelled. "You've always been number 1 to me! By the time I'd got the balls to ask you, you'd said yes to someone else!" He yelled. "How am I supposed to believe you!?" I yelled louder, due to the rain.
"I love you Becca." He said, before pressing his lips fully onto mine.
