Cody and I were supposed to meet at the movies tonight. That has been the plan for the last 3 weeks. Yet some how every time we go to meet, he suddenly can't because he's gotta "work late". Which, I don't know about you, but that doesn't sit well with me. So I told him that he didn't have a choice and we needed to go to the movies. He was my boyfriend after all.

We've been together for 2 years and he's made me nothing but happy. However, lately I feel like he's trying to distance himself from me and he won't tell me why. I mean, I have done nothing but be there for him and support him in his career.

Anyway, I am currently standing outside the movie theater, waiting for Cody to arrive and have been in the same place for 30 minutes. At this rate, I thought he would never show up. That was until I saw his car pulling into to parking lot and parking. I smiled when I saw him get out of the car. He was wearing a simple black t-shirt with a pair of light wash jeans and some timberland boots, a.k.a my absolute favorite outfit on him.

I thought he was going to start walking towards me but when he walked to the other side of the car I was confused. My face fell when I saw a petite brunette get out of the car and smile at him. Shortly after my phone went off with a text from Cody.

Cody <3: Hey love, so my agent needs to talk to me at the office and I can't make it to the movies. I'll see you later tonight and I love you, so so much.

I read this text and looked up to see them walking in my general direction. Normally I would have just left and gone home. But I was tired and being put at second best and being everyone's second choice. There wasn't anyone outside, so I approached them.

"You've gotta be fucking joking..." I said. Cody's head shot up and immediately he looked hurt. "Y/n, I-I can explain..." he began. "Explain what Cody? I already know what's going on. Don't pull out that 'no it's not what it looks like' because we both know that it is." I said. My heart felt like it was on fire and someone was ripping it from my chest. My eyes began to water and I could hear my blood pumping in my ears.

"Y/n, I-I'm sorry. I just want you to let me explain. Please." he begged. "Yeah well, you can explain who I am to her. Because she clearly has no idea who I am. On the other hand, I am going home, grabbing my shit and leaving. Because this," I said, gesturing between me and him, "is over." I finished, turning and walking away.

I heard her say something to him, a loud smacking sound, and then heals running behind me.

"Hey, wait up!" she yelled. I stopped and turned around, finding the girl that showed up with Cody, behind me. "Hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry. If I would have known that he had a girlfriend, I never would've have agreed to anything." she explained.

"It's okay. I could see that you were just as shocked as I was. You don't have anything to apologize for." I smiled.

"Well, if you're in need of a friend, I could come with you." She smiled.

I had to think about it. Did I really wanna become friends with the girl that Cody was cheating on me with? I mean, she had no idea we were together.

"Yeah sure. I don't have a lot of friends out here." I laughed. She walked with me and we got in my car, heading towards me and, well now just Cody's, house.

As I pulled into the driveway, I saw that Cody was already home. "Fuck.." I mumbled to myself. "Girl, you got this. I'll go in with you." She smiled, walking with me up to the door. I opened the door and saw Cody standing in the kitchen. I tried to be as quiet as I could but it was no use.

"Y/n, please let me talk to you, alone." he said, turning to see me with the girl he showed up with. She looked at me and nodded, heading outside.

As soon as she was gone, I spoke up. "Cody, we have nothing to talk about. You cheated. End of story." I said. "Don't you wanna know why?" he asked. "Quite frankly no. Because I already know why you did Cody. I saw her. She's what I'm not. She's skinny and fit and pretty and has long hair and basically everything you look for. I am the complete opposite of what she is. I wasn't good enough anymore and you weren't man enough to talk to me or even just break up with me before you did anything or found someone new. So don't try and feed me some other bullshit excuse. Cause I'm done." I said.

"Y/n, please. That is not why, I had to do it. My agent needed something to get attention back on me for All American to come out and for my fans to be excited. So we had a meeting and we scheduled all these dates between her and I. I swear the only thing we did was kiss, hug, and hold hands. We never did anything else. She has a boyfriend," he said, though I wasn't believing it. "babe please. I never wanted to do it by my agent had already made the plans and I had no choice. I would never cheat willingly. I would never cheat at all. But I had to because I had to keep my job. I know that it doesn't justify me not telling you and I'm sorry I didn't. I wish I had included you in everything. I just, I didn't want you to get mad and then leave me. But I know that it would've been a lot easier to just tell you and have you know than for you to actually find out like this. I am so sorry babe." he cried.

Tears were streaming down his face and his eyes were red and puffy. My heart broke at the sight of him. "Cody," I started but he wasn't quite finished. "You are worth more to me than one acting job. I should have told them to go to hell and they could find someone else. I love you so much and I don't wanna lose you babe." he begged. He was on his knees, holding my legs, almost like a child that doesn't want their parents to leave for work.

"Cody, will you please listen to me?" I asked. "What?" he asked.

"If you can prove to me that your agent set all this up, I'll stay." I said. As much as I wanted to believe Cody, I needed the proof.

Within a heart beat, Cody had his agent on the phone saying that it was all set up.

Cody hung up the phone and looked at me. "Does this mean you're staying?" he asked, his eyes filled with hope. I nodded.

He spent the next weeks trying to make it up to me and took me everywhere he went, just to show me that he wouldn't even look at another girl.
