Just a Fan [Kyungsoo] for @EXOHappyVirus

You signed into your online messaging account, and were surprised to find a message from your personal favourite in EXO, Do Kyungsoo. Surprised that the company had chosen you out of millions of fans, you opened the chat and began to view the message.

You frantically typed out an extremely lengthy message and pressed the 'Send' button. No reply, as of yet. And then, your phone vibrated, displaying another message. 

We are sorry, this is a no-reply system. Any replies will not be entertained. Apologies for the inconvenience, and have a good day.

Of course, you would be so stupid as to think that it was the real Do Kyungsoo. It would not, and would never be, for this was just a daily encouragement program for selected fans. 

Day after day, the stubborn you persisted to message 'Kyungsoo', wishing him the best for their solo concert which would be held the very next week. The daily encouragement continued but whenever you sent a message, you would get the computer generated reply in return. 

It didn't seem like much, but when your message finally got through, you were elated. And even more so, when you received a reply back. 

"안녕하세요, EXO 경수입니다. 당신의 메시지를 당신을 감사 EXO 지원을 계속! 나는 당신을 사랑 해요!" 

(Hello, EXO's Kyungsoo here. Thank you for your message and continue to support EXO! I love you!) 

He actually replied.

The next few months were spent in bliss, as you chatted with Kyungsoo, and sometimes, the other members. You didn't care how long it took for him to reply, as long as he was there, reading your message. In fact, a simple 'Thank you' was more than enough, because he took the effort to type it for a girl countries away from where he was.

When EXO finally came to your country for a concert after what seemed like eternity, you were more than ready at your computer to rush for the VIP tickets, to see them up close, to shake their hands, to get their autographs.

It was just your luck, that you got the ticket. 

At the fanmeet, Kyungsoo poster in hand, you were surrounded by screaming fangirls, all shouting various names. You were just a fan, why bother to crack your voice for the sake of idols that wouldn't even remember your name? You just stood there, crazily waving your poster, not saying a word. 

The individual fan meetings came. Lining up, you couldn't help but peep towards the front and see many fans getting their albums signed. Miracles in December, XOXO, Overdose, you hoped that they would continue to soar through the music industry over the years to come. 

Reaching the front of the queue, you bowed a full 90 degrees and greeted everyone. Getting your album signed, you proceeded to the end of the row, and came face to face with Kyungsoo. You hadn't imagined he would be the last, and you reminded yourself to write a letter to the company thanking them for saving the best for last. 

"D.O. imnida~" He did his fabulous eye smile, his heart shaped lips twitching upwards. 

"I'm ____, the fan whom you messaged before. Don't you remember me?" 

"I do."

Maybe it wasn't so much that he just said the two words that would bind two people together to become husband and wife, but it was the fact that he recognised, he remembered you, that truly touched you. 

So much for just being a fan.
