Chicken Mania [Kai] for @misschokailate

He stared back at you, the drumstick in his mouth. "Kim Jongin, I didn't say I'm treating you to lunch! Share, or else..." You demanded from your best friend, Jongin, who just preferred the nickname Kai, who shook his head in immediate response. He had recently won the 'Chicken Eating' competition in your school, beating many others, and you guessed that this was just a way to show off his ability. 

However, you didn't find it amusing that he was technically eating away your money. Your hard-earned money, all spent on him. It was very ungentlemanly of him, if you could say so yourself. 

The music in the cafe blasted your favourite song, Moonlight by the popular duo, Byun Baekhyun and Do Kyungsoo. You couldn't help but wave your hands and sway around to the soft tune, ignoring the stares and glares from the people seated around you.

Kai was also the dancer of your school, the representative in various competitions. To hear him sing that line in time with the melody, was heart wrenching. His voice was slightly raspy, and had a lot of feeling in it. But why would he sing this particular line, out of so many meaningful ones? What were you doing that broke his heart? You weren't doing anything wrong, as far as you could think.

 "Yah, you're making me jealous. You'll never see that Do Baekhyun and Byun Kyungsoo, you'll only see me, so you better make use of it and love me now."

What a forceful confession! Of course, there was no way that you could just accept it, didn't he know? Once, you had told him you'd like a romantic confession, one where the guy would be nice, caring and stare into your eyes, just like a fairytale. 

"It's Byun Baekhyun, and Do Kyungsoo. I am so done with you, Kim Jongin. Goodbye." You grabbed your backpack, and left the cafe. 

I can't bear to see you like that, Jongin. When I don't want you to be hurt, I hurt myself, and I've hurt myself one too many times. If you truly love someone, you'll do anything for them. And that was just what I did for you.
