(This chapter is short)
Unlike the nice clear day they had yesterday, today it was storming outside. Lightnight and Thunder lit up the sky as rain beat down on the Guild Hall. Some guild members decided to just stay home so the Guild wasn't as full as it usually was. The Valdis siblings, of course, didn't really care about the weather and showed up like usual to the Guild. Hayden and Esme sat at their usual seat at the bar while Kage pushed his corner table closer to a window to listen to the rain. "My, you three act as though the rain doesn't bother you!" Mira said with a smile. "That's because it doesnt!" Esme said happily. "We love the rain!" Hayden added.
Lily burst through the doors of the Guild and immediately flew over to Kage who was sat on top of the table to lean against the window. Lily curled up in Kage lap making to boy sigh and start to take off his jacket. Everyone froze as they watched him take it off and wrap the wet black and white exceed up and layed him back down in his lap. Without his jacket to cover him, the Guild members finally had the chance to get a good look at him.
Gajeel entered the Guild moments later and walked over to where Kage and Lily were. He had down at the table that Kage was sat on and took off his jacket as well. "Lily was in a hurry. Is he still afraid of Thunder?" Kage asked as he ran his fingers through Lily's fur. Gajeel nodded. "Yah. But he's working on it."
Hayden and Esme were happily talking when they notice Mira being oddly quiet. "What's up hon?" Hayden asked. "Have you noticed that the Guild is awfully...quiet?" She asked as she looked out at the rest of the people. Hayden and Esme turned to look at them as well.
"Um...do any of you find Kage oddly...attractive?" Gray asked. The silence that filled the room was deafening but was soon filled with laughter.
"Gray," Happy laughed. "Is Gajeel rubbing off on you or are you just discovering your gay side?"
"I'll have you know that I am straight and I have never question my sexuality!" Gray retorted and the others sarcastically nodded.
"Then why would you be attracted to Kage? Who is a male, by the way." Natsu shot back at him.
"It's just that, after you mentioned that he had a feminine body I started to really pay attention to him." The others snickered quietly. "He's a guy but he has a really small waist and he's really slender." Gray didn't notice the other guys hesitate as he made his description. "His skin is really pale to. You can tell just from looking at it that it's super soft." Everyone gulped as their thoughts went wild. "Not only that, but he has a really small figure so he would just fit snuggly into your arms." Elfman felt his heart rate pick up. "And he has a good personality to top it off. Honest, straightforward, a bit shy and easily embarrassed. Minus the sadistic part, it's cute to think how he would be depending on his boyfriend sometimes." Bickslow and Freed felt a blush rise to their faces. "I mean, I can't help but think that if he was a girl..."
"I would totally go after him." They all said in sync. Gray looked at them and felt satisfied that he wasn't the only one.
Hayden shook his head with a sigh while Esme had this big unsettling smile on her face that made Mira chuckle.
Gajeel on the other hand, was suddenly VERY aware of how they thought of his small boyfriend and quickly grabbed his coat and draped it over Kage's shoulders. Kage just continued to watch the rain, totally unaware of the boys talking about him.
Gajeel stomped over to the bar to order a drink but was met with a cackling Esme. "What's wrong Gajeel? Jealous?"
"I am not jealous!" Gajeel spat. Esme smirked and was about to tease him but he cut her off. "I'm territorial." Esme immediately shut her mouth and stared at him. "Jealous is when you want something that isn't yours. Territorial is protecting something that's already yours."
"I can't believe you just openly admit that." She muttered. "Our embarrassed little Gajeel is growing up!" She suddenly squealed and hugged him. "Hey! Get off me!"
