Mirajane stood behind the bar as she stared at Kage who was sat at his usual table in the back corner.
"Mira?" Esme spoke up as she gave little Tsukki his bottle. "Is something wrong?"
"I want to ask him something...but I'm a little embarrassed about it." Mira admitted.
Esme hummed. "Well, if you don't tell him soon he'll get irritated and come over here to force it out of you."
"E-EH?! He would?!"
"You think he doesn't know that you've been staring at him this whole time?"
Mira sighed and leaned against the bar. "He probably already knows."
"Probably." Their heads shot up to look at Kage who had already made his way over. "But I'd rather you say it."
Mira stared at him a bit. Internally arguing with herself while Kage waited patiently. "I-I.....well....." she stuttered. "I wanted to ask if you would deliver my baby."
Esme's eyes widened and she turned to look at Kage who's neutral expression didn't change at all.
"You trust me that much?"
"I do! I trust you!" Mira said, more confidently this time. "I want you to be the one to do it! Nobody else!"
"Ok." He answered easily.
"You...you'll do it?"
"I will."

Labor had come quicker than expected. Mira was glad that she had asked Kage yesterday cause that baby wanted out NOW. She was laying in her bed taking deep breaths while Hayden panicked next to her.
"Please! Let me take you to the hospital! I'd feel better if we had professionals do it!"
"No!" Mira shouted at. Half out of pain and half out of determination. "Kage said he'd do it! I trust him! I WANT him to be the one to-" she groaned in pain as she hit another contraction.
Hayden jumped in shock as he heard the front door being slammed open. Footsteps marching all the way down the all and in the bedroom doorway appeared Kage. "Out." He immediately told his brother.
"Wha-What?!" Hayden protested as Kage pushed him out. The boy then slammed the door closed and locked it, leaving Hayden stuck out in the hallway. Kage then opened the window and in jumped a series of animals. There was a wolf, a couple of cats, three rabbits and a whole lot of birds. "Alright ladies, let's get to work!" The animals all let out cries of agreement.
Hayden was pacing in the hallway. He had no idea what Kage was doing in there but I clearly heard a lot of animals. He wished Mira would had just let him take her to the hospital. Why did she want her sadistic brother to deliver the baby anyway? Was it because of Esme's story about it? He paled as he heard Mira screaming in pain. The screaming lasted for about two hours and then there was a pause of silence. Hayden's blood went cold.
And then there was crying. He just stared at the door as he listened to the cry of a baby. The door opened and he was met with Kage. "You can see them now."
Them.
Them.
Hayden slowly walked in and was in tears at the sight.
Mira was sat up in bed, looking tired, and cradling their baby girl who was wrapped in a purple blanket. There was a cat resting it's chin on the baby's head, purring away. Soothing the baby and Mira. He dropped to his knees next to the bed. "She's beautiful." He whimpered, starting to cry.
"Rose." Mira said softly. "I wanna name her Rose."

The Guild was in an uproar when Mira and Hayden showed up with their little bundle in Mira's arms. Lisanna was cooing over the baby while Elfman bawled his eyes out.
"How did Kage do?" Esme asked her.
"Oh, it was amazing!" Mira smiled. "The animals did everything they could to comfort me and help me through it! It's definitely an experience I'll never forget!"
Esme stared down at the baby boy in her arms. "I'm thinking of having another one."
Laxus shot his head in her direction in shock. Esme turned to Kage's table and gave him a bright smile. "What about it Kage? Will you deliver my next one?"
Kage glared at her in irritation. "When did I suddenly become a baby delivery service?"
