"Kage! Kage get up!" Esme yelled as jumped into Kage's bed. The boy groaned and rolled over to look up her. Esme hovered over him with a beaming smile. "It's Christmas! It's Christmas!" She yelled. "It's also early. Go back to bed." Kage muttered as he burrowed himself back under his blanket. "NO! WE NEED TO GET UP! There's gonna be a party at the Guild Hall!" Esme yelled as she got up and tossed the blankets off the boy. Kage sat up and shot his sister a glare. "Come on! Come on!" Esme said as she ran out of the room. Kage sighed and got up to get ready.
The two got to the Guild Hall and Esme quickly swung the door open and ran inside. "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" She shout at the top of her lungs. Not everyone was at the Guild yet, but the few who were greeted her back. Once Kage entered the Guild though, everyone avoided eye contact and didn't say anything to him. They knew he would be in a horrible mood this early in the morning and nobody wanted to risk worsening the sadist's mood.
"Good morning you two! Merry Christmas!" Mira greeted with a smile as the siblings walked over towards the bar and took a seat. "Kage! You're actually up early!" Hayden called. He wore a Santa-like Christmas outfit. "What the hell are you wearing?" Kage asked. Hayden looked down at his outfit with a smile. "Mira made it for me! I wanted to wear it for the party!"
"You look ridiculous." Kage muttered with a yawn. Mira smiled and looked at Hayden. "I think he looks cute!"
Hayden blushed and looked away in embarrassment while Esme giggled.
The doors opened again and Lucy walked in shivering. "It's so cold out." She complained. "I have Hot Cocoa ready if you want some!" Mira offered. "Yes please!" Lucy sat at the bar with them and took off her jacket. "It's so much warmer in here!"
There was a loud thump and all of them turned to see Kage had fallen back asleep. "Awe~ You know, he actually looks kinda cute when he's asleep. You kinda forget that he's a total sadist." Lucy said with a smile. "I told you he's a little cinnamon role!" Esme stated proudly.
As the day went on, more people started showing up to the Guild. Everyone kept a large distance from Kage though. They were all scared of waking him up and becoming his new victim. That is....until Natsu and Happy finally showed up.
Natsu chuckled evilly as he moved his marker towards Kage's face. "Hehehe, let's see how you like it." Happy was trying REALLY hard not to laugh and wake the boy up while everyone else watched in fear. Before the marker could touch Kage's face, Natsu was suddenly picked up by the back of his shirt and pulled away from the sleeping boy. "Don't even think about it, Fire Breath." Gajeel said with a glare. "Hey! Put me down you Metal Head! What the hell are you doing!" Natsu flailed. Pantherlily hovered over to them and stood on the bar next to Kage's head. "It's not wise to wake him up unless you want him ruining something else that you own." He told the Fire Dragon Slayer.
Happy crossed his arms and pouted. "He started it."
"Yah! It's only fair that we get revenge!" Natsu added.
"Oh? And what if I wake him up right now and tell him what you were about to do?" Gajeel said and he put Natsu down. "Are you crazy?! If you wake him then all Hell will break loose!" Happy suddenly shouted in fear. "Really? Let's see!" Gajeel said with a smirk as he walked up to Kage. Everyone gasped and moved as far away from the as they could. Hayden, Esme, Lucy and Mira moved to far side of the bar and watched from a distance.
Everyone watched with anticipation as Gajeel put his hand on Kage's head and gently ruffled his blonde and black hair. "Hey kid. You better wake up. This isn't a good place to sleep." He said calmly, no worry was heard in his voice. Kage's body shifted and slowly sat up. Everyone held their breathe, but became shocked when, instead of turning to torture Gajeel, he leaned back against the Iron Dragon Slayer who was stood behind him and closed his eyes like he'd fall asleep again. "Why can't I sleep here? It's Esme's fault for making me get up early." He muttered.
"Natsu was going to draw on your face while you slept." Lily explained as he moved to stand in front of him on the bar counter. Kage's aura suddenly went dark. "Oh, was he now?" He said while turning to glare at Natsu who looked pale.
"Now, now boys. It's Christmas! So let's try not to kill eachother alright?" Erza said calmly but with a scary aura as she walked up to them. "I'm not making any promises. It's up to Pinky here and if he wants to keep bothering me." Kage muttered. "I don't think you head me." Erza said, stepping closer. "I said, let's NOT kill each other today." She said with a glare that would normally make anyone listen to her.
But Kage just smirked.
"Are you threatening me now? Well, if THAT'S how it's going to be, then maybe I should tell everyone about your little "get together" with-" Erza suddenly leaped forward and covered Kage's mouth. A blush on her face and an evil glint in his eyes. "O-Ok! No threats! From now on, no one annoys Mr. Valdis!" Erza panickedly announced to the Guild.
"Mr. Valdis? I like the sound of that~" Kage drawled out with a smirk as he crossed his arms and leaned back against Gajeel. "I can't believe it. You're little brother managed to get Erza wrapped around his little finger." Mira said in shock. "I'm not really surprised. He has a habit of finding stuff out to use for Blackmail. It comes with his sadistic personality." Hayden muttered as he leaned against the bar. "Hey! I just realized something! How come Gajeel and Pantherlily didn't become targets when they woke him?" Lucy asked. "Because my ship HAS ALMOST SAILED!" Esme shouted. "Well, Gajeel and Pantherlily were the first people in the Guild that managed to befriend him. So now Kage has a small soft spot for them." Hayden explained, ignoring his sister's antics.
"Merry Christmas my children!" Makarov announced from the S-Class balcony. "This is suppose to be a happy holiday! So why are we not partying?!" He yelled as he jumped down and landed on the bar. Everyone cheered and started drinking while Kage rolled his eyes and moved to a table in the back corner.
"Psst! Gajeel! Lily! Come here!" Esme whisper yelled. Gajeel and Lily made there way down the bar to where the small group was. "Yah? What do you want?" The Dragon Slayer asked. "I'm just wondering. What do you think of my baby brother?" She asked with a smirk. Hayden and Mira immediately knew what she was doing. "Kage? He's a pretty cool kid. Smart too. Knows how to play people. Why?" Gajeel said. Esme just giggled and sighed in content. "Oh no reason~"
Gajeel and Lily shrugged at eachother and walked over to sit at Kage's table while the group all turned to Esme. "What was that about?" Lucy asked. "Don't you see?!" Esme asked with excitment. "Remember when we were trying to figure out who to put Kage with?"
"Yes, and you decided to choose Lily for some reason." Lucy stated.
"Well the ship is right there!" Esme exclaim as she gestured to Kage's table happily. "Kage has been spending an awfully LOT of time with those two~" She said with a giggle. "It's only natural that they'll come together eventually~!"
"So you're shipping him with both of them now?" Hayden asked.
"YES!"
Lucy and Hayden facepalmed. Mira grabbed Esme's shoulders from over the counter and shook her. "But I've already been shipping Gajeel with Levy!" She said with an upset tone. "As cute as that shipping would be, Gajeel seemed to have been hanging out with little Kage more often hasn't he? Beside! Kage has even stayed the night at their house! I don't see Gajeel inviting Levy over anytime soon." Esme said as if she was stating facts. Mira thought about it for a bit before her face turned to one of realization. "You're right!" She agreed. "I guess I'll have to switch over to your side then."
"Yes! Come to the dark side. We have Yaoi!" Esme exclaimed as if she were a villain.
"Esme! Look!" Lucy yelled as she clung to Esme's arm and signaled for her to turn around. They all looked over at Kage's table and saw said sadist asleep again. They all watched as Gajeel slowly moved his hand out to touch Kage's hair again but he suddenly blushed and pulled his hand back, as if he just realized what he was doing. Lily chuckled and reached over and pet Kage's hair while Gajeel flipped out about waking him up again.
"Oh yah. I ship it." Mira said.
Lucy nodded in agreement. "I'll join. I'm in. That's just to adorable."
"I think you all caught my sister's crazy." Hayden huffed.
