"Momma!" Esme looked down at the little boy who had run up to her. "Me and Rosie got our Guild Marks! Can we go on a quest now?" She smiled at her boy. He grew up so fast.
"Of course little dragonfly. But bring at least one adult with you."
Tsuki nodded happily and ran towards the quest board where Rose was standing. "Did she say yes?" She asked. Tsuki nodded. "She said we need to bring one adult though."
"Lets pick a quest then!"
They decided on a simple monster slaying quest. The monster wasn't even that big but it's been stealing livestock from a nearby village.
"Going on your first quest?" Hayden asked as he walked up to his daughter and Tsuki. The two kids smiled at him. "Aunt Esme said we could as long as someone went with us!" Rose told him.
"Oh? And who are you gonna ask?"
"UNCLE KAGE!" The two kids called out as they ran towards the table in the corner of the Guild. Hayden paled.
"What do you brats want?" Kage asked, annoyed with the shouting.
"Will you go on a quest with us?" They both asked.
"No."
"Why not?!"
"I'm not a babysitter."
"Clearly." Hayden muttered. "Why do you want Kage to go with you? I'll go with you!"
"No way." Rose denied him immediately making him sulk.
"You'd be to protective and wouldn't let us do anything." Tsuki added then turned back to Kage. "Please! Please go with us!"
"I said no."
"Oh, quit being such a stick in the mud and go already!" Natsu shouted. "Aye!" Happy agreed. Natsu grabbed Kage's jacket collar and picked him up. "Don't be so lazy! You haven't been on a quest in forever!"
"I haven't needed the money!" Kage argued."
"And you have yet to tell us how you got so rich."
"Hey! Get your hands of my mate you flame for brains!" Yelled Gajeel as he walked into the Guild Hall. Lily following behind him.
"What did you call me, metal head?!" Natsu yelled back, dropping Kage and stomping over. Kage sighed in annoyance as the the two started to fight. He looked back down at the kids when Rose pulled on his sleeve. She waved her hand and he knelt down to her level.
She leaned forward and whispered something in his ear while the Tsuki and Hayden just watched with curiosity. Kage pulled back and his eyes widened a bit before smirked and patting her head. "The art of Blackmail huh? I taught you well." Rose gave him a victorious smile. Hayden looked horrified. "Unfortunately, blackmail doesn't work on me. Nice try brat." Her smile turned into a pout.
Kage stood up with a sigh. "But since you made me a little proud, and even used some good information, then I'll except your request."
The kids looked up at him in shock. "You...you mean-?" Tsuki stuttered.
"Yes. I'll go with you on your quest."
"WOOHOO!!" The kids cheered. "Kage!" Hayden shouted over them. "What are you teaching my daughter?!"
"Don't worry about it." Kage waved him off. "It's not anything bad. Come on you little shits, let's get a move on."
"You get back here!" Hayden called but they had already left the Guild. He moped back over to the bar and sat down while Esme and Mira giggled at him. "It's alright Honey. Kage will take care of her." Mira tried to reassure him. "I'm more worried about him teaching her all his evil little tricks." He muttered.
