(Short Chapter)
Mira paced behind the bar. A nervous look on her face. Hardly anyone was in the Guild Hall at the moment but the ones who were there watched her worriedly.
"Mirajane." A voice drawled out. She sharply turned to see Kage standing on the other side of the bar with Pantherlily held in his arms.
"Kage!" Mira panicked. "You can't tell Hayden yet!" She already knew that Kage could tell just by looking at her. He's far to observant to miss it.
"Tell Hayden what?" Lily asked, but neither answered him.
"I wont. It's not by business to tell. But I'm curious as to why you're worried." Kage told her as Lily looked up at him confused.
"I just....I don't know if we're ready! I mean, we talked about it. But we never came to a decision!"
"That's a stupid reason." Mira forgot how painfully blunt this boy was. "Hayden loves you. If he didn't, he wouldn't have married you. He's not gonna be upset. You're freaking out over nothing."
Lily was absolutely lost. Kage leaned down to whisper it to him. He had shivered at the feeling but then he froze and his eyes widened when he processed what Kage had just told him. He shot a look at Mira, as if silently asking if it's true....and she nodded.
"Hey guys! What's with the weird looks?" Hayden said as he walked up to them. He had noticed everyone's expressions as soon as he had walked in.
"H-Hayden." Mira stuttered out. Hayden turned to her, giving her his full attention. "I-I know our marriage is still kinda new....a-and I know that we haven't yet found the right house for us to move into but...but..."
"Hon, if somethings wrong then please just-"
SMACK
Kage smacked his brother upside the head. Effectively cutting him off. "Shut up and listen." Hayden shot Kage a small glare before returning his attention to his wife.
Mira took a deep breath before looking right at him. "Hayden. I'm pregnant."
Hayden froze. "You're...what?"
"YOU'RE PREGNANT?!" Someone screeched. Everyone turned to see Esme stood in the doorway of the Guild, Laxus behind her. She waddled as fast as she could over to the bar and leaned towards Mira. "Is it true?! Are you sure?! Did you get checked?!"
"Calm down babe, your brother has yet to react." Laxus stated making the group turn their attention to Hayden. Hayden just stared at Mira, tears formed in his eyes and he sniffed.
"Dear! You're crying!" Mira said worriedly. Hayden hopped over the bar and hugged her close him. "I'm just so happy!" He bawled. "We're gonna have a family!"
"Is this really that big of a deal?" Kage asked as he watched his siblings and their spouses all talk about the baby. Lily looked up at him. "Of course it is! They're bring new life into the world! Being parents is a big responsibility." Kage didn't respond. Lily sat there, in his mate's arms, and thought for a moment before looking back up at him. "Kage, What were your parents like? Before you met Umbra." He asked.
Kage's eyes narrowed dangerously. Lily noted that he refused to look at him. "I dont remember." He lied.
