About a day had passed and I was finally being released from the hospital. I knew once I got home I could finally get everything straightened out. Things still didn't feel quite right ever since I woke up and both mama and daddy could tell I woke up in the hospital bed and I was still really confused on everything that has happened.

"Hi honey." mama smiled, seeing I was awake

"Hi Mama." I yawed

"How are you feeling?" she asked

"Confused." I said. She nodded in understanding.

"Do you have any questions about anything?" she asked

"How many siblings so I have? I have 6 right?" I asked

"6...? No sweetheart, you have 4." mama replied

"What about Annabelle and Emma?" I asked confused

"Who's Annabelle and Emma?" she asked. "They're beautiful names."

"We adopted Emma and you had Annabelle." I said

"We haven't adopted any of your siblings and I haven't had any other babies after Shelby." she explained. "Were those people someone you dreamed about?"

"Some of them." I said

"Okay." she nodded, not wanting to push too much on me

"Why am I here?" I asked

"You were in a bad accident. Drunk driver." she replied

"Oh." I said. "That's why my head hurts."

"Mhmm. You were in a coma for a while. That's why you had those dreams." she explained

"How long was I out for?" I asked

"...about a week." she replied

"Oh my gosh!" I said

"It was um...it wasn't good. You lost a lot of blood and they had to stitch you up..." she said softly

"Oh Mama I'm so sorry." I said

"It's okay baby. The accident wasn't your fault." she said

"I feel bad." I whimpered

"Let me call the nurse and we can get you some medicine." she said, getting up and pushing the call button. I nodded my head and whimpered. A nurse entered with my next dose of pain medicine

"She just woke up, but she's in pain." mama told the nurse. I was holding my head and curled up in a ball. The nurse rushed over to my bedside and set the new iv bag to give me a fresh dose of medicine that I needed

"It might take a couple of minutes, but it will get through her system faster this way." the nurse explained

"Thank you." mama said, moving right to my side once the nurse moved

"Thank you." I whimpered. Mama got into the bed with me and pulled me close

"I'm right here baby...I've got you..." she whispered. I snuggled into her and whimpered. She rubbed my arm softly, not wanting to rub my head since I was recovering

"It hurts mama." I whimpered

"I know baby. I'm so sorry..." she said and I hugged her tight. She began to hum softly and rub my back. I closed my eyes and fell asleep again. A few hours later, it was time to go home. Mama had filled out all of my discharge paperwork and they were ready to transfer me into a wheelchair so I could be wheeled to the car. I was in my sweatpants and sweatshirt and got into the chair. I was carefully wheeled out and mama helped transfer me into the car
