I awoke to sunlight peeking into the room, feeling an arm wrapped around my middle. I smiled contently and snuggled closer into Ryan, trying not to wake him. He kissed my cheek and pulled me close her. As soon as I close my eyes again, my phone starts ringing. It was mama, again. She was calling me all the time.
"Come on...pick up..." mama said nervously to herself as she waited for me to answer. I reached over for my phone and answers it.
"Hello?" I said still mostly asleep
"Hi baby!" she smiled, her voice sounding quite chipper. "How's it going?"
"It's 6:15 in the morning." I mumbled
"Oh! Right...big time change. Sorry." she said
"How's it going?" I asked
"It's great!" she smiled. "Everything is so beautiful here."
"Awesome." I said asleep, My end of the line went silent for a moment and mama's brows furrowed.
"Bubs?" She asked
"Hmmm?" I said
"You're still asleep aren't you?" she said
"Yep." I yawned and she FaceTimed me. I had accidentally pushed the button half asleep and she popped up in the screen.
"Awww...you're so cute!" she said, smiling when she saw me
"Huh? I asked confused and then my phone fell on my face. "Ouch!" I said
"Are you okay??" she asked. All she could see was a close up of my face
"My phone fell on my face." I said
"Ouch." she winced. "Maybe I should call back later...?"
"No no it's fine." I said
"Are you sure?" she asked
"Yeah, we gotta get up anyways." I said rubbed Ryans back
"Oh, okay." she said with a smile. She didn't really have to much to say, she just wanted to hear my voice
"Ryan wake up." I hit his butt and walked to my bathroom. I had a huge gash on the bridge of my nose from my phone
"I'm awake..." he said, laying still in the bed
"Ooh...that doesn't look good." I heard mama say
"It hurts." I said and heard Shelby
"Sorry baby." she said
"Buh!! Buh!!" Shelby said with a giggle when he heard my voice
"Is that my little boy!!" I smiled
"Buh!!!" he squealed and mama giggled
"Come here little man..." she said and the camera moved around a bit. Soon it was back on her and I could see Shelby in her lap
"Hello my handsome boy!!" I smiled at him
"Buh!!" he smiled and reached for the phone
"No Shelby. Mama holds the phone." she told him
"Mama!!" he sassed
"Someone's sassy." I giggled
"I can see that." she said, looking down at Shelby
"Buddy how's it going." I said. He smiled and started babblings
"Tell me all about it." I smiled. He giggled and flapped his arms with excitement. He began to babble once again and got quite animated. Occasionally I would catch "mama" and "dada"
I giggled at him get all excited about his story , He had paused for a minute and was smiling at me, waiting for a response. "Sounds like fun handsome." I smiled and got dressed for he day. It was a big day
