I was at Ryan's house when I got the call that changed my life.
"Avia I tried to get ahold of your mom. Your grandpa passed away this morning." Aunt Susie said
I just started balling. I couldn't help it. "Did you try daddy?" I asked
"No, I figured he'd tell you mom first and she'd get upset and to be honest your better who her than he is." She said
"He is really gone?" I asked in shock
"Yes, I'm sorry baby." She said with her voice cracking
"I can't believe It." I said
"I think we all expected this for a long time, but now that it's here..."she trailed off
"How do I tell Mama that her daddy isn't going to meet the baby?" I asked crying harder
"Just tell her the truth." Aunt Susie said."We'll all take it hard, some harder than others, but she'll be alright."
