Natsu's P.O.V
Makarov left a little while ago. He wanted to take a minute to take everything in. Whatever that means. On the other hand, as usual I had no time to recover from the last idea of trying to get me to feel better. They sent Wendy in here. I'm not sure what she can do, but she said she's going to try hard in whatever she is doing.
I sat there sitting next to Lucy with my chin on her lap. Like usual she strokes my hair while having a conversation. Just like before, I felt at peace. It felt nice to just sit down and not worry about a thing, but I wasn't going to fall asleep.
"I'm going to just do some basic healing magic and focus on the inside of his head. Maybe it can help at least retrieve some of the information that he has forgotten. It may also help me to figure out just how they got him to act this way." Wendy said.
"Okay. It would be handy for us to know exactly how they got him to forget everything. At this point I'm at a loss. I've researched so many options but without any evidence I can't even narrow it down. My hopes is that he'll just start to get some memories back." Lucy explained.
"I don't know Lucy. I think Natsu's cute like this. Are you sure you want the old him back." Mira taunted while looking to me in Lucy's hands. I lifted my head and growled a little. Mira giggled and then turned around going back to what she was doing.
"I want him to be happy. Right now, he's so scared. He's so confused. I don't want Natsu to live his whole life second guessing whether or not he's going to be beaten. It's not healthy and it's not fair." Lucy said with confidence, but also with a hint of sadness.
"Sorry Lucy. I didn't mean - " Mira started and then was cut off by Lucy.
"That's okay. The best we can do now is just try and get him as back to normal as we can." Lucy said. After that she looked to Wendy. "When do we start?"
"Soon. If you can get Natsu to lay down flat on the bed then that could be a good start. I have to get some supplies for after the session so while he is resting I can get back to his other needs. For now. Just make sure there is enough room near the headboard so I can get in the best position to access his mind." Wendy rambled on.
"Natsu. Sit up please." Lucy said. I looked up to her and sat up letting her stand. "Could you lie down now?" I slid down like a dog. Like I usually do. Lucy shook her head. I couldn't understand just what she was referring to. I followed her command right?
"What you shake head for?" I asked.
"Sorry. I need you to lie down a different way. Here." she said before physically rolling me on to my back. She forced my arms and legs to lay down flat on the bed surface. It felt weird laying down like this, but it was comfy to spread out all of my bones at once. "This is how I need you to stay."
I nodded. As Wendy came back into my vision. She clambered up onto the bed and sat on her legs up by my head. I tried to move, to get away, but Lucy shook her head and forced me back down. I didn't want to stay like this, I like to be next to Lucy not this other lady. Not that she didn't seem nice, I just wanted to be with Lucy.
Suddenly green light clouded the sides of my vision. For a moment, it felt nice, and then the pain erupted. My mind flashed with so many different images my head spun. Everything I saw, everything was just pain. Everything they did to me.
Hold still.
Never leave.
This is your home.
Feel Pain.
Your mine.
Your my pet.
You can never escape.
Then behind all of the pain and sorrow that I felt, I saw images of something that I don't remember. Memories that I have long forgotten. Memories of the people around me. It didn't hurt anymore, rather it had a warm feeling to them. They seemed to shout at me like they wanted me to pay attention. Most of it was names that I couldn't make out.
Erza.
Wendy.
Jellal.
Laxus.
Gray.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
Igneel.
IGNEEL!
That name. That name started to repeat itself like a broken record player. It didn' t stop. It just kept going. It must be a very important name to me. Or I guess it should be. This entire thing is just confusing. This entire thing is killing my head. It hurts. I can't see past the pain. I just can't. Everything is now just pain.
I screamed and shot up grabbing my head. It hurt. Wendy jerked back in surprise. I bit my lip trying to stop all of the pain. Everything was spinning. Everything was crazy. I couldn't focus. I couldn't even grasp hold about what was happening.
"I'm sorry Mr. Natsu. I went to fast. I'm sorry." the small girl bowed her head as she apologized. I shook my head clearing it. Something just wouldn't let me remember. I tried to go back and pick up the pieces, but I couldn't. Lucy grabbed my arms and made me look at her.
"Igneel." I said quietly. Lucy's eyes widened.
"Natsu did you remember something." she asked me.
"No. Igneel. A name. I not remember. It hurts." I said in raspy breaths. She shook her head.
"That's okay. Don't force it. Just rest for now. Are you hungry?" I looked over to her with confusion in my eyes. They ask me if I'm hungry here? Thats weird. Back in the Demon Hawk guild they didn't ask, they didn't even care. If you were hungry you would have to suck it up. I looked down dropping my hands to the bedsheets. Then I nodded.
"Yeah."
