Lucy's P.O.V
Natsu and I pretty much stayed next to each other. I didn't go home. I didn't leave him. All we did was sit on the bed and stay next to each other. It felt kind of nice you know. Just forgetting the world and sitting next to Natsu by myself. Which reminds me, I don't think Happy has seen Natsu yet. I wonder why? Maybe he's not aloud to yet.
Natsu sat up looking to the doorway. I followed his gaze. He stood and kept his gaze on his target. I'm not sure what that target was, but it was something important. After all, Natsu wasn't letting in out of his sight. I could also tell that he didn't like what it was. A low growl went off in his throat. Then he bared his fanged teeth at the door.
"Natsu? What's the matter?" I asked him. He didn't look at me. He didn't even try to look at me. His gaze was kept on the doorway. I never seen him act this way. I haven't seen him come anywhere close to acting this way. So why is it that he's doing this now. The door slowly opened as Natsu let out a large growl. I saw it. Porlyusica was at the door. Her pink hair framed her frowning face that only seemed to drop more as she saw Natsu. Natsu roared at her. I tried to stop him but Porlyusica forbeyed it.
"Don't touch him!" I brought my hand back as Natsu roared again. Porlyusica shook her head and then walked up closer to Natsu without any fear in her eyes. Actually, she looked very confident that she would win, like she was taming a beast.
"Despite what you may think, I am not your enemy." she said. Natsu's growl softened a little as he listened to what she had to say. "There is no need for you to fight little on. I'm not here to harm you, nor am I here to fight. All I want is to make you better."
"Your a -" Natsu started with hate in his voice.
"Calm yourself Natsu. My words speak the truth." Natsu's growl continued to grow. Porlyusica sighed and then clasped her hands together. "Get off the bed human. Slowly." she ordered. I did so getting up as Natsu roared. He charged until he hit an invisible wall. All around the bed was a force field.
"Natsu!"
"Stop yelling stupid human. Or he will never calm down." I looked to Natsu in the purple tinted force field as he rampaged scratching at the walls and trying to get free. "I'll keep him in there for a bit while I mix up a potion."
"Why is he acting like this? He seems like he wants to kill you." I said watching as Natsu went crazy inside of his little box.
"Cause he does." Porlyusica said.
"What? Why?" This was way to confusing.
"Simple. It's a magic spell. He wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing me if I didn't put up that field. Everything that I said to him was just me trying to see whether it was him being aggrresive cause he was scared or if it was magic. A diagnosis was all that was."
"So . . . "
"Magic." she said with a sigh. "It's an old spell that you don't see very often because there is no need for you to use it. If you cast it, a dragon slayer will absolutley want to kill any dragon that they catch the scent of. People began using it when dragon slayers began to do the opposite of their purpose. So instead of using their power to kill dragon, they use it to save them."
"That's simple enough I guess."
"There is a simple remedy that can stop the spell but the rest of my diagnosis will have to come after I make that up. It's hard to examine him as he tries to kill me." I nodded as she got a few things out of her travel bag and placed it into a beaker. It's beyond me why she would carry all of that stuff along with her but I'm not the doctor.
"I hope Natsu gets better soon."
"There. Done. Now I just need him to stay still. Which means I will be right back." she left the room with the field still up. Then she came back in with Makarov at her side. "Catch him quick." she said clasping her hands together. The force field came down and Makarov's huge hand grabbed Nasu before he could go anywhere.
"Natsu my boy. Please calm down." Makarov said but Natsu still fought.
"If you guys would have paid attention you would know that that it pointless. Just hold him still." Porlyusica grabbed the beaker and held it up to Natsu's face. I could visibly see the mist coming off of it as Natsu breathed in the smoke. Natsu's rampage was stopped suddenly by him coughing. Even though he tried to stop breathing in the smoke it was impossible. The more he coughed the more he inhaled. "You can let him go Makarov."
Natsu dropped to the floor holding his throat and coughing. He's been coughing for a long time now. I was starting to get worried. It felt like it wouldn't end.
"Trust me. He's fine. It's hard for dragon slayers to take the potion this way because of their sense of smell, but I couldn't give it to him any other way. I didn't bring any needles and he wasn't in any restraints." Porlyusica announced. Then Natsu's coughing slowed as he started to calm down. After that, he looked up to greet Porlyusica's face.
He whined and then scooted back into the corner of the room just like when I first met him. He now could think and so he was back being terrified. Especially since this lady never smiled at him. She always kept on that same grouchy face.
