26: Snake Takes Kitten

Mouse's P.O.V

"What do you mean by getting revenge on her?"  Snake asked very interested now. I looked up at him with pleading eyes. I'm hoping he won't take the deal. That he would work with the master's in order to just to make Kitten feel pain. It wasn't right, but I don't know how to tell that to them. They don't care what I think, I'm just a slave. 

"You get the girl and Natsu suffers. Simple as that." our master replied. The next minute was quiet. I wanted everyone to actually think of what could happen. I knew fully well that the master's wouldn't do this without something in return. They had something else in mind then just having Snake get what he wants. 

"What poison in return?"  Snake asked. 

"One to make someone hallucinate. Make them see something other then what is there. People who appear to be others."  he said. My eyes widened. It may sound like a simple poison, but there is a catch to it. I know there has to be some hidden plan somewhere. 

"What need do you have with that kind of poison?" Snake asked. I knew he only said this because of my reaction. He knows that I'm scared. I'm scared of what will happen. Someone was going to get hurt because of this. 

"That is not information that you need to learn. After all, remember your place here." Master said. He looked to me and then to Snake like he was clarifying that we got the hint. "So?" he finally asked. 

"I'm in." Snake answered.

I knew that the plan would be put into effect soon. It was obvious the moment Dragon's master followed us downstairs. I was terrified of what might happen. He was carrying a needle full of a purple cloudy liquid. I looked up to him which resulted in a beating. 

He swung his hand hitting my face. I looked down not tempted to hold my burning face. I knew that he would see that as a way of rebelling. So I just took the slap and looked down to the ground trying to keep the tears back. I only looked up again once we walked into the basement. 

Dragon was still sitting there holding Kitten's hand. He only released her when he saw his master walking behind us. He stood waiting for his master to approach. You could see him narrow his eyes and clench his jaw. Dragon stood still as the cage of his swung open. 

He didn't look scared, he didn't look calm, he looked angry, but also intrigued. I knew as well as he did that this was a time where all master's usually eat and left us alone. The change of schedule was an obvious give away that they had a plan. A plan that would result in someone getting hurt. Dragon was held down to the ground and given a shot of the poison in his arm. He was held there by his with no sign of him being let up. 

Things only got weirder when our master stuck Snake in the same cage as Kitten and me. It was strange, especially when our master gave out a hardy laugh. He knew something was going to happen. All of these little components was just a way from him to break us. I knew it, and I was right. Something was going to happen. 

"Snake. What are you doing in here?" Kitten growled. I walked away from both of them gaining space between us. I didn't want to get involved. Snake was under the impression that he was going to get what he wants, but Kitten's hatred was hard to waver. 

"I made a deal. Our masters have decided to give us some alone time." Snake chuckled. 

"And this is what they came up with. I'm soooo impressed." She said looking at me. They weren't alone technically. Since I was here. She crossed her arms and kept her bright green cat eyes on Snake. I shifted my weight from the awkward sense in the air. I was here with two people that hated each other. 

"That's besides the point. We can be together now." Snake said taking a step closer to Kitten. Kitten dropped her arms and took a step back keeping the same distance as before. She wasn't losing her temper, but she wasn't exactly calm. I knew she didn't want to get in trouble for killing Snake, and that was probably the only thing keeping her from murdering him. 

"No way. . . You know what you did." Kitten said. Snake groaned and then looked back at Kitten with an irritated look. He didn't like that response. I don't blame Kitten for not trusting him. Snake's done a lot of crappy things in his past. 

"It was an accident. I'm sorry." Snake said trying to keep the relationship alive. If he lost his temper now then it would all be over. Everything would be gone. Snake's chance at ever getting Kitten to love him would be gone. 

"Sorry doesn't give me my virginity back asshole." Kitten snapped. I let out a gasp making both of them look to me. It gave them both a quick moment to realize that they weren't alone in this cage. I was here with them. 

"I was drunk. I apologized."  Snake hissed looking back to Kitten. Kitten grabbed Snake by the shirt and dug her cat-like talons into his chest. He just winced as her nails dug into him, but he tried so hard not to fight back. 

"You fucking raped me Snake. You can't just apologize and be done with it." Kitten growled. I looked from both of them before Snake let out a breath. He looked like he had given up, but he didn't. After that he grabbed a hold of her shoulders and pulled her close. 

"How about this then." Snake whispered walking up to Kitten. She was against the wall now, no way to escape. What happened next surprised me. Kitten was kissed by Snake, and she didn't like it. She scratched Snake in the face and kicked him away. 

"Get the hell away from me." she hissed. Snake was losing his temper now. I watched as he charged at her slamming Kitten into the bars of the cage. Snake held her arms above her head kissing her lips with intense passion. 

"Come now Kitten. We can be together now." Snake said before grabbing her by the neck and slamming Kitten onto the floor. With last minute courage, I ran up to them trying to tug Snake off of Kitten. I failed. He pushed me off and I fell to the floor. He messed with Kitten's clothes as she struggled to shove him off. In the meantime, I watched frozen in fear. In the end, I couldn't so something for her. 

"Kitten!" someone yelled. I looked over to see Dragon now up. His master was just standing there in the background with Natsu's unlocked collar in his hand. His cage was open and Natsu was acting strangely. His eyes were unfocused and cloudy and his body was wavy and unsettled. 

I was scared, with Natsu's magic cancelling cuffs off he was at full power. The metal bars were no match for the radiating heat from his body. At first I thought that he was angry at Snake, but I was mistaken. Tears fell from his eyes and quickly evaporated the moment the tear dropped from his face. 

"You. . . you said you loved me." he mumbled.
