Natsu's P.O.V

I sat on the roof by myself. I'm not even sure how long it has been since Snake had left me here. Should I have gone with him? Maybe we should have left earlier? Unless it would have been safer for him to think up a better plan before we leave. Who knows, maybe Snake just wanted to spend a little extra time in a bar before heading back.

Next thing I know. A strong wind pushed suddenly through the air. I shivered but then looked up to the sky. Even though the sun was up and has been for a while there was one lone star in the blue sky. I frowned. "Are you mad at me Kitten?"

"Huh? I'm not a kitten anymore Natsu." I was shocked by this statement and swung my head around to see that little winged cat from before. I let out a breath and then put on a fake small smile so he wouldn't ask me what was wrong.

"Oh. . . . ummm. . . . Happy right?" I asked.

"Aye sir." he said a little sadly. I narrowed my eyes and then just shrugged it off. He had something on his mind. I might not be able to read people's emotions like Snake can, but I can tell when someone is upset. The air smells sad.

"Luce isn't here right now. She went to the guild for a while." I told him hoping that he would just go away. I wanted some alone time. When I looked back up to the sky the star was gone. I wined a little and then caught myself remembering that Happy was still behind me.

"No. I actually came here to see you." he said. I looked back to him as he walked up and sat on the roof next to me. I shrugged and then looked back up to the sky. I might want to see the stars more, but the sky is good too. Even when that star left.

"So what do you want me for?" I decided to ask.

"I just wanted to talk. We were best friends before you went missing and I haven't had a lot of time to spend with you. It's like all the girls are fighting over who gets to see you first. It's stupid." he said. His statement made me laugh a little.

"So what do you want to talk about?" I asked. He shrugged his little cat shoulders and then spoke once again.

"I don't know. I guess about how you've been acting lately. Everyone is pretty worried. You look down all the time." he said. I bit my lip and then looked down. Happy ears flatened and I shook my head.

"I'm scared. Everyone tells me who I am, but I don't know who that man is. I'm not like that anymore. To be honest, I don't even know how anyone can act like how this guild does. Nobody listens to their master. Nobody thinks things through. Nobody surrenders. It's all so chaotic all the time." I told him.

"Oh. Yeah that's Fairy Tail for you. A lot of guilds wonders why we are like this too. I'm sure a lot of people besides you are scared about what we can do, but I know that nobody here would try to hurt you." he told me.

"You know. You don't have to sit here and try to cheer me up." I told him. He tilted his head at me confused, and it only wanted to make me to roll my eyes, but I didn't.

"What are you talking about?" he asked.

"I can smell how sad you are talking to me." I told him. Happy was speechless and for minutes he sat there is silence. I don't think he could figure out what he was going to say. It was like every statement that went through his head was turned down.

"Oh." he finally said.

"Besides. I won't be here long enough for anything to matter anymore." I told him.

"Why? Where are you going?" he wondered. That was an interesting question. I know where i'm going, in theory. Do I know the location of Demon Hawk? No. Am I positive that Snake knows? I guess, but I can't just tell this cat where I'm going. So then I got an idea. The truth. I looked up to the sky imagining the stars that I yearn to see.

"I'm leaving happy. I'm going away from the stars." I told him.

"The stars? But why? They're so pretty." he told me. My eyes widened but I quickly regained my usual stiffness. What he said reminded me of something. Something from a scene that I would rather forget. What Snake told me on that very day, and the one command that I didn't listen to.

"Sometimes you have to leave what you think is pretty to keep it safe." I repeated.

"I don't think I understand?" Happy said holding his head.

"It doesn't matter. It's just a dream that died long ago." I said standing. Happy remained sitting as I walked to the edge of the roof and jumped off landing on the ground. I looked up to Happy and then looked away. "I'm going for a walk. Let Lucy know that I'll be back before supper."

"How about I just come with you?" Happy asked. I shook my head.

"I'm just going to clear my head a little. Like I said I'll be back."

"But Natsu -"

"I'm just going for a walk! Your acting like I'm heading off to war. I'll be back, okay!" I yelled. Happy cringed a little but I just shook my head and began walking off. I'm not sure where I was going but I knew I was going to go somewhere. Maybe I would find a nice tree to lay next to. Maybe I would just go swimming or something. Who knows? All I know is that I need to get away from Fairy Tail. I just need a break.
