Lucy's P.O.V

I left Natsu alone in the room. It took a little bit for me to convince him to stay, but I needed to have a talk with Makarov without Natsu near me. I know that the council is punishing the Demon Hawk guild, but we need to figure out what they did to make Natsu forget everything. Also if it has an antidote.

I acted like I was going just to get Natsu food, but I was actually making my way to Master Makarov in order to talk this over with him. What happened in there has given me hope that Natsu isn't all the way gone. He remembered Igneel after all.

"Master." I addressed. Makarov looked up to me from his previous spot. He was sitting on the counter next to Mira with his head down and his eyes clothes. He looked like he was thinking something over.

"Yes Lucy." he said.

"About Natsu. I -"

"I know. I'm trying to find out everything I can about the Demon Hawk guild and Natsu's condition. It pains me to see him like this just as much as it does you. He is different now. He sees the world differently. It will take a while to get him back on his feet. I don't know what happened to him, but whatever it was it took quite the toll on him." he said. The entire statement was said with him looking down.

"Do you think we could get the answer out of their Master." Makarov shook his head at my idea. He looked up at me finally.

"I don't have clarification to interrogate him myself, or I would have been there already. If I was able to walk up in there and show him what Fairy Tail thinks then I would have done it the moment Natsu came back. Unfortunately I can't." he told me.

"Why not? Look what they did to one of your guild members. Don't we have the right to get some answers so you can lead your guild." I stated.

"That guild has done this to a lot more people. A lot more people want just as much revenge as what we do. It's impossible for everyone to get involved, so the council is dealing with it themselves." he told me.

"Oh. I guess I didn't think of it."

"Let's just get Natsu acting more like a human for now. I'll message the council asking for a chance to get in there, but I can't just burst in and break the law. In the meantime, I also messaged one of the best healers in the country."

"Really? Who?"

"Porlyusica. She's an old friend of mine I suppose." he told me.

"When she coming?" I asked.

"Tomorrow. She's gonna look at Natsu and see if it's familiar. Or if she can try to find a cure. How is his physical wounds?"

"Fine. There was a lot so Wendy is taking her time. Well, by order of Carla." I said thinking back to the white cat. How she always tells Wendy to take everything slow and not over do herself when she is healing.

"Okay. That's a step in the right direction at least. I suppose that all we can do is just wait and see." he said.

"Hey, what do you think I should get him to eat. I don't think fire is a good start, but I think he might have a problem with soup."

"Hmmm. Maybe start with a little meat. After all, it's his favorite food. Maybe get him some water and some chicken. Just make sure it's boneless. We don't want him choking while he is inhaling it." he told me. I nodded and then turned to Mira. She looked up to me with a kind smile. Then she turned and got a few things ready. I knew she would know what I wanted. Even if she didn't let on, she heard that entire conversation.

After I got a couple boneless chicken breasts and some water I started to make my way back to Natsu. I stopped at the door hearing nothing. It was silent. No sounds whatsoever. My heart sped up but I couldn't bring myself to open the door just yet. Like I would see something that would hurt me even more. Eventually, with a shaky hand, I reached the handle.

After I turned it I swung the door open. Natsu was there looking up at the ceiling with with his eyes closed. He was sitting on the bed without saying a single word or moving at all. It was like he didn't even notice that the door opened. That he wasn't alone in the room.

"Natsu?" his eyes shot opened and he jumped back. He looked at my face and my tray of food. He shook his head and then walked to the end of the bed looking up to me with confusion. "I brought that food." I stated.

I placed it on the end of bed. He stared at it for a moment. It was weird. He just didn't want to actually touch it. Like it was poisoned or something. Then he bent down smelling the food. Then he licked it. His tongue slightly grazed the top. Then he took a small bite. One small nibble at a time he finished both chicken breasts. Then he looked into the cup of water. His hands wrapped around the cup and he lifted it to his face. Regardless of how he was holding it, he licked the water up just like a dog would.

I sat on the side of the bed with Natsu at my side. He laid at my side not moving. I wondered what he was thinking about when he was sitting there. He just stared looking up to the ceiling without saying anything. He didn't notice I came in. So it was something I didn't get but it seemed like now Natsu was starting to trust me. More and more I can see how he isn't as scared.
