Author's Note: This request is for FruitCakeParty1192 who wanted a Human Yoshi X Shy Reader Romance one shot story!! I apologize for not updating my stories recently due to the holidays and a bad cold. As usual this story might be short due to lack of ideas and possible writer's block!! ~(Your Name) Point of View~

There he goes I thought as I watch a bunch of fangirls chasing Yoshi one of the star players of the track and field team along with the Mario bros. Yoshi is  never seen without his trademark green hoodie with red like spines on the back, many fangirls try asking him to be their boyfriend but he declines. I too have a huge crush on him but I'm very quiet and shy around guys especially Yoshi, everytime I try to say hello I would stutter and blush. Though I love him for his personality I do often wonder what he looks like without the hoodie, it makes him mysterious. 

~Yoshi Point of View~ 

There she goes I thought looking at the female named (Your Name). She's very shy, quiet, yet talented and nice though she's very shy around me. No matter how many times I try to talk to her someone mostly fangirls interrupt me making me lose my chances to talk to the mysterious (Your Name). But my thought were broken when I hear that a upcoming dance is this Friday at the Gym. Perfect I can ask (Your Name) to the dance... but first I have to get rid of the fangirls I thought with hope in my heart.

~Third Person Point of View~

During the next three days Yoshi kept making attempts to ask (Your Name) out to the dance, sure some fangirls stop and ask him out but he always declined. Luckily after school the fangirls have cheerleading practice so this is Yoshi's opportunity to find (Your Name) since she has art club. Few minutes later he finds he working on a painting... of him? "That's amazing." He complimented. "Oh um.. Hi." (Your Name) spoke softly. "I like the details you made to my face and outfit." Yoshi spoke. "Thank you." She said. "Um.. I was wondering.. wanna be my date to the dance?" He offered making (Your Name) speechless and shocked. "M-Me? But why? Shouldn't you ask your fangirls?" She suggested. "No way they only like me for my looks not for me." Yoshi declared. "Um okay I'll be your date." (Your Name) replied with a big smile on her face. "Thank you!!" He said in excitement that he jumped up and down rapidly that his hood fell off revealing his green spiky hair. Everyone was surprised seeing Yoshi's fully revealed head making him all shy and embarrassed since no matter what he does Yoshi's hair will always get spiky. "I like you Yoshi." (Your Name) said with a blush. "I like you too (Your Name)." Yoshi said.
