Explorers Luigi X Adventurous Reader

Author's Note: This request is for IggyKoopa_28 who wanted a Luigi X Adventurous Reader one shot story!! Since they didn't ask what they wanted I'll make it a Friendship one shot. As usual this one shot might be short due to lack of ideas and possible writer's block!! Thank you and enjoy!! Italics: Thoughts Bold: Information/Authoress

Note: This takes place in a alternate universe!! This will be a gender neutral one shot.

~Third Person Point of View~

(Your Name) is a friendly person who loves to go on adventures, hanging out with friends, and finding new places to travel. Though today they're going to travel to a unique place but this time not alone for joining the adventurer is their best friend Luigi. Why is the green capped plumber joining? Turns out Mario and Peach went on vacation as Bowser is still recovering from his last attempt in kidnapping. So Luigi asked them if he could join as being alone at home can get boring pretty quickly. (Your Name) agreed to Luigi's offer as the duo began traveling to their destination. 

~Luigi Point of View~

"So where are we going?" I questioned. "To a wonderful place that hasn't been discovered but after a lot of research and clues it exists!!" (Your Name) replied as they took out a map. "The legendary Zodiac Temple!! Supposedly it holds a ancient Tome  filled with all kinds of magic!!" They exclaimed. "What kind of magic will you get from the Tome?" I asked with curiosity. "Elemental magic like fire, water, wind, and more but what's interesting is that there's also a special amulet which can make you summon  animals both common and mythical." (Your Name) stated. I became excited and interested but then I became worried "W-What if Bowser or someone evil tries to take them?" I spoke in worry. "Not to worry Luigi the texts says and I quote "Only those with a pure heart and a kind soul can enter the Temple" End quote." They replied as we traveled through the Rain forest. 

~Your Name Point of View~

After following the hints, avoiding dangerous creatures, and seeking shelter during the pouring rain we made it to the Zodiac Temple. "Ready to explore Luigi?" I asked the nervous male. "Y-Yes." He stuttered. "We'll take things one step at a time and pace ourselves." I replied in a soft tone to calm him down. Once we entered we find a huge mural which depicted all kinds of animals but what stood out was the twelve animals that represent the Chinese Zodiac. There was the Rat/Mouse, Ox, Dragon, Horse, Snake, Rabbit/Hare, Pig/Boar, Sheep/Ram, Rooster/Bird, Money, Tiger, and the Dog. "I have a feeling finding the artifacts as well as the amulet won't be easy." Luigi noted while looking at the mural. "Same but if we work together we can find them." I responded as we entered one of the many chambers. 

~Third Person Point of View~

The adventurous duo began exploring each chamber one by one. Though it was very challenging overcoming each puzzle, trap, and guardian in order to find the inner chamber. A few hours later and a long rest Luigi and (Your Name) finally entered the inner chamber. "Whoa!!" They both exclaimed as they see gold, jewels, artifacts and statues of the Zodiac Animals. (Your Name) began taking photos and wrote down in their adventure journal while Luigi began looking. In the middle of the chamber is two pedestals one holding a tome the other a amulet. "Mama Mia" Luigi muttered as he looked at the amulet in awe and wonder. A mysterious voice spoke alerting the two "You two are worthy of possessing the Tome of Wonders and the  Master Amulet. Fear not if they fall in the wrong hands for they only answer to their owners. Choose whatever you want and may you prosper." The voice stated. "S-So what do you choose (Your Name)? I'm fine with whatever is left." Luigi reminded their friend.

Master Amulet: Let's the wielder summon whatever animal they desire be it common or mythical. Tome of Wonders: Let's the wielder use all kinds of magic though forbidden spells have huge consequences. Example: Bring a person back to life but in exchange for your soul. Whatever you choose Luigi will take the artifact you didn't choose*
