Pair Up Toadette X Male Toad Reader

Author's Note: This request is for The ToadSoldier (I hope I got the name right) who wanted a Toadette X Male Toad Reader Romance one shot story!! As usual this one shot might be short due to lack of ideas and possible writer's block!! This takes place in a Alternate Universe!! Thank you and enjoy!! Note: This takes place during Mario Party 7

~Third Person Point of View~

Toadsworth began arranging a special Mario Party called the Deluxe Cruise, which up to 8 players team up in pairs and work together. With a bit of planning he chose who will be teamed up together, what rules will be set, and which place will be chosen. Toadsworth had made his final decisions and began setting course to The Grand Canal, where not only will there be competition but also something else.

~Toadsworth Point of View~

"Welcome to the Grand Canal everyone!!" I announced to the players. "In this place there'll be four teams of two who must work together to collect stars!! Whoever has the most stars wins!!" I finished. "Now I shall announce the Teams and who's in each one!!" I spoke. "The First team has Mario and Peach, their team name is Dolphin!!" I declared as Mario and Peach paired up. "The Second team has Luigi and Daisy. their team name is Seagull!!" I exclaimed while Luigi and Daisy paired up. "The Third team has Boo and Dry Bones, their team name is Tuna!!" I explained as Yoshi and Birdo paired up. "Finally the Fourth team has Toadette and (Your Name), their team name is Mollusk !!" I said. (The Grand Canal is a Venice Italy themed Basic Board in Mario Party 7).

~(Your Name) Point of View~

I was very nervous and scared since this is my first time playing a Mario Party with my crush Toadette!! W-What do I do?!? I don't want to drag the team down and make us lose!! I thought with worry. But my worries went away when I felt a reassuring hand on my shoulder, I looked to see Toadette smiling at me. "Don't worry (Your Name) we're here to have fun and play." She calmly spoke making me blush. "O-Okay Toadette." I replied. "Good now do your best and I'll do the same." Toadette said as we both made our way to the Start area. 

~Toadette Point of View~

Using a Triple Shroom Orb I along with (Your Name) began working our way towards the first star. Dry Bones and Boo would try to stop our progress using different hazard orbs like Thwomp orbs. (Triple Shroom Orb uses the power of 3 mushrooms to double your Dice Blocks for 3 turns, Thwomp Orb any opponent who passes it will be Thwomped and must stop moving.). Things became more difficult when Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Daisy also began racing for the star!! There would be times when I wanted to give up, but (Your Name) would always cheer me up whenever I feel sad. "Don't give up Toadette the game is not over yet!! We still have a chance no matter how small!!" He encouraged me. "You're right (Your Name) we still have a shot!!" I responded back with a blush. 

~Third Person Point of View~

The game is over and the winning team was declared, many of the participants left except for Toadette and (Your Name). We see them staring at the horizon watching the sun set together quietly. "I'm sorry that we lost.." (Your Name) sadly spoke. "(Your Name) don't blame yourself, it's just a game winning isn't everything." Toadette reassured. "I know.. but I wanted to impress you..." He confessed. "Impress me? Why?" The female Toad wondered. "I-I wanted to show you t-that I love you." (Your Name) blushed. "Oh.." Toadette muttered with a blush. "I-I understand if just want to be friends." He spoke but was silenced when Toadette placed a finger on his lips. "I love you too (Your Name)." Toadette answered then winked making the Male Toad all flustered and shy.
