Author's Note: This request is for TouatiElyssa I hope I got the name right. Anyway they wanted a King Boo X Child Reader Fluff one shot story!! As usual this one shot might be short due to lack of ideas and possible writer's block!! This takes place in a alternate universe!! The Reader/child is gender neutral if you're wondering. ~Third Person Point of View~

(Your Name) and their family moved to the Mushroom Kingdom when their parents found a good paying job there. Their parents are good researchers and became very interested in the paranormal, they were hired by E Gadd a famous scientist. The (Last Name) family are now currently living near Boo Woods, if they needed to get groceries/supplies there's a quick shortcut to Toad Town via warp pipe. We find the little child playing in their bedroom since their parents are currently in a meeting with the elderly professor. As (Your Name) played with their toys they didn't notice a whitish orb phase through their window and began taking form. (If your parents aren't into the paranormal just pretend). 

~King Boo Point of View~

Hehehehehe soon I'll be rid of that Professor and his pesky Poltergusts I thought evily as I transformed into my true form.  Before I could locate where the elderly human is staying I was spotted by a child. They weren't afraid or screaming, they were staring at me in curiosity like I was a newly bought pet. Suddenly they took a few cautious steps closer, I tried to shoo them away or distract their attempts but to no avail. If I try to scare them or use my powers E Gadd will fine me and might capture me!! I thought nervously as the child kept staring at me. "Play?" The child whispered to me. "What?" I whispered back. "Play...with...me?" They spoke softly as they were holding a toy airplane. They want me to play with them? I thought in shock. After a few minutes I nodded and joined the child in their playtime. Maybe once they're tired  I could finish my goal and be rid of that professor I thought in glee. 

~Your Name Point of View~

"What's your name mister? I'm (Your Name)." I spoke softly. "I'm the ghostly ruler of Boos King Boo." He whispered back. "You're a king?" I muttered to which he nodded in response. "Wow... what's it like being a king?" I questioned. "It's a long story." King Boo whispered back. "I like long stories." I replied back as I payed attention. He began telling his story to which I listened carefully, though I would often wonder what it would be living in a castle. During his story I would get drowsy and fall asleep when King Boo talked about boring stuff. I couldn't fight off the drowsiness and fell fast asleep on the carpet "Good Night King Boo." I muttered in my sleep.

~Third person Point of View~

King Boo grinned when (Your Name) fell asleep. Perfect now to find E Gadd He thought. But before King Boo could begin searching he heard them mutter in their sleep, "Good Night King Boo." The Boo King was surprised by the kind gesture and looked at the sleeping child. He sighed softly as he carefully picked the child up and placed them on their bed. King Boo covered the child in a soft (Favorite Color)ed blanket, tucked them in, and placed a Yoshi plushie in their arms. "Good Night (Your Name)." He whispered softly. King Boo heard footsteps climbing up the staircase and quickly yet quietly left the (Last Name) house.
