Hero of the Past? Vampire Mario X Child Reader

Author's Note: This request is for Vixery who wanted a Vampire Mario X Child reader who is scared, Fluff One shot Story!! As usual this one shot might be short due to lack of ideas and possible writer's block!! The child is Gender Neutral and this takes place in a Alternate Universe!! Mario will my version of vampires, if you want info on them read my very first one shot!! Thank you and enjoy!! Italics: Thoughts Bold: Information/Authoress

~Third Person Point of View~

Forever Forest is one place no one should enter!! The forest is famous for it's monsters and traps any unfortunate person who enters in it's confusing trails. For one child named (Your Name) they're scared and stuck in the confusing trails,  hoping to find their toy kite which was last seen flying toward the forest (Your Name) went inside not knowing that someone is watching. They kept trying to find any sign of their (Favorite Color)ed Kite but so far no luck, (Your Name) was shivering in fear whenever they hear or see something scary. As they slowly walked forward they heard a wolf howling in the distance making (Your Name) scream. (Forever Forest is from Paper Mario).

~(Your Name) Point of View~

I heard footsteps moving closer to where I am, I desperately searched for a hiding spot only to find a huge boulder. Hiding behind the huge rock I tried to keep quiet and stay still P-Please don't find me!! I thought in a panic. "Come out child... I mean you no harm in any way." A voice spoke scaring me. I shivered in fear yet my curiosity got to my mind as I slowly peeked from my hiding spot. Not far from me I see a man wearing old worn out clothes, a long black cape, and his eyes are red? The man moved a bit closer making me close my eyes in fear "I believe this is yours?" The Man spoke in a calm tone. With my eyes open I see my kite!! I wanted to take it but I was wary of the stranger. "What is your name child? I'm Mario." The man named Mario said.

~Mario Point of View~

"I-I'm (Your Name)." The child answered then their eyes widen. "M-Mario? You're Mario of the Mario bros?!?" They questioned me in shock. I frowned then looked away "I was..." I muttered. "What happened? Why did you leave?" (Your Name) wondered. "I left..... because I was cursed and turned into a vampire, I lived in Forever Forest for over 200 years." I answered their question. I didn't look at (Your Name) and began to leave, but something held onto my cape. I turned to see a small hand holding onto the cape tightly to find (Your Name) gripping it hard. "P-Please don't go!! I-I need your help Mario!!" They pleaded. "You want me to help you? I'm a monster a vampire!!" Mario stated but I shook my head. "You're no monster!! So what if you look different you're a nice person!!" (Your Name) replied surprising me. "Please help me out of this place I wanna go home." They cried as tears went down their cheeks. I gently held their hand and wiped their tears away "I'll get you out of here safely." I declared with a soft smile. 

~Third Person Point of View~

The vampire and the child made their way towards the entrance of the forest. Along the way some Piranha Plants and fuzzies blocked their way, though they were dispatched easily with Mario's magic. "Well here's the entrance... you should go home." Mario spoke. "Thank you Mario!!" (Your Name) spoke. "You're welcome." Mario responded with a smile as he returned the (Favorite Color) Kite to the child.  "Will I see you again?" They wondered. "Maybe? Anyway good bye (Your Name)." Mario said as he hugged the child. "Good bye Mario." (Your Name) replied and hugged back. Then the two parted ways one heading back to Toad Town the other back to Forever Forest.
