Oluwa ni by Reekado Banks😍😍
The phone kept vibrating furiously on the sofa, while Ifeoma stood watching it in fear. It continued ringing for minutes on end but that didn't convince her to pick it up. What if it is a serial killer? She thought fearfully. In a nutshell, the fear Ifeoma had for the supposed serial killer who was hiding behind a phone's security, was way much more than she had for the more pressing and deadly killer at the door.
It was quite amusing, that only a phone ring could put her on an edge the way she was now. Sweat beaded on her forehead as she paced around, trying to clear her mind. After many moments of deliberation, compounded by the determination of 'the serial killer', Ifeoma decided to pick up the call. It could be Jeffery ringing her with another mobile phone for all she knew.
And so she picked up the call, and waited silently for her verdict.
"Hello? Babe are you there? Are you okay?"
"Jeffery?"
"Yes it's me princess. Why didn't you pick the call ever since? I was so worried. Did anything happen? Are you okay?"
"I'm quite all right." Ifeoma said as she looked through the window again. Her visitor was already gone. "I just had one of your friends come to the house."
"Baby are you serious? I'm coming over to the house right now."
"No you shouldn't. Take your time to do what you wanted to do before coming back. He's already gone now because I didn't open the door for him."
"I don't feel comfortable with this? Are you sure I shouldn't come home right now–to at least check on you? Because the thought of a pregnant woman alone at home with a killer who could be outside the house troubles me way more than getting robbed by a gang of armed robbers."
"I'm pregnant not handicapped Jeffery."
"That's not what I'm trying to say princess. I'm just worried that's all." Jeffery replied slowly. He didn't want her to get angry with him especially when he knew that she was really sensitive when it came to situations that involved her pregnancy being called out. "Babe are you there?" He asked after he noticed that she wasn't saying any words at all.
"Yes." Ifeoma sighed quietly.
"Okay. I'm sorry, I really am sorry. Please don't get mad at me babe. I promise I won't come over to the house, I won't even think of it until I'm done with the reason I went out."
"Now that's my Tiger." Ifeoma grinned from ear to ear.
"Always at your service babe." Jeffery said to her. He couldn't understand her sometimes. She always had a way of bringing out the good side in him. It wasn't like he was a badass or anything, but having her around him always put him in check and it made him want to please her in everyway. Afterall, she was his baby mama.
