The Sun had already sunk low by the time Jeffery headed home, the hot fiery ball was but a beautiful orange shade of  itself. It was a very gorgeous sight but Jeffery had too much on his mind to even notice the Sun existed.

Getting to the door, he stopped and reached into his pocket to get the house keys. He was in such a hurry to get inside so he could tell his tale that he didn't want to ring the bell. To Jeffery, ringing the bell and waiting for an answer was an absolute waste of time.

"Ify?" He called as he tried pulling his key which was stuck, out of the keyhole.  "Ify where are you?" He called louder but there was still no answer. The key gave up on it's struggle and allowed Jeffery to pull it out at last. "Stupid key." He muttered as he closed the door and locked it with its bolt.

If the house hadn't been Jeffery's(rented anyway), he would have mistaken it for a site used for rituals or a cemetery or someplace where no one was allowed to talk or make a sound. "Ifeoma!" He whispered quietly as he tiptoed across the floor and into the living room. He stopped abruptly as soon as he noticed a figure sleeping on the sofa. It was Ifeoma.

"Ifeoma! Ifeoma! Baby please wake up." He tapped her on the shoulders until she woke up.

"You are back." She said as she woke up and stretched, then reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Yes babe." His voice sounded muffled as his face was buried in her shoulder. "How have you been?" He asked when she was done with making a fuss over him.

"I've been okay, just a bit tired as always. But you look even more tired, and also unhappy. Did anything happen?" She held his face in her hands as she digressed from the topic which was on her before.

"Not exactly."

"Are you sure? You know you can tell me anything right?"

"Yes." He sighed deeply. "Yes and that's why I'll tell you everything."

"Okay I'm listening." She said, resting her head on his chest while he held closer to himself.

"You know I went out today and I told you I wanted to find out somethings before I left right?"

"Yes."

"So I actually went to a lab physician and..."

"Why? Are you sick? Did you go to do a test?"

Jeffery chuckled softly at how she jumped quickly into conclusions. "No, I'm not sick and no, I didn't go to do a test. I actually went to collect results of a test. Before you ask, it wasn't a test to detect any diseases, it was instead to find out about the drugs in my system."

"What drugs?" Ifeoma turned her head to look up at him.

"Okay on the day we got drunk, firstly I didn't know you were at the club, and neither did you know I was there either right?"
